Chestnut the Squirrel: Then and Now

Description

Looking through some old drawings I found recently, I came across a picture of a character called Chestnut the Squirrel I drew when I was about eight, and wanted to re-draw him.
Apparently he's four feet tall and weighs 14 kg. Well, that's what I thought at the time anyway.
He's bigger than I remember...

lol he lost his boots, but he's still got a great smile. actually he looks happy to be barefoot.

I don't know what I was thinking with the boots. I found a few more old Chestnust pictures and he was wearing boots in all of them, and they were a different colour in every one. Somehow I think he looks better without them now, though when I first re-drew him his arms and legs were just plain orange without the lighter markings.
