Chapter 1 - PAIN AND LOVE

From Cloud to Aeris; A simple poetic show of affection




When you came into my life, I saw the light of dawn.
But now, everything is dark again and all because you're gone.
my world was bright, my future a delight,
But now you're dead and tomorrow is something I dread.
If you can hear the words I utter now,
Know that forever before you will I hunker down.
Not out of fear, but out of obedience.
A loyalty born of love.
Our bond was unbreakable while you were here,
but now you are gone and for the first time, I feel fear.
When you were killed in that palace in the sky,
for the first time ever, a tear burned behind my eye.
And now, I'm engrossed in rage and fury
Because you are somebody I did not want to bury.
I'll keep my words simple, no more than this;
I love you, Aeris, so I bid you farewell with one final kiss.

*As he laid his lips upon hers for the last time, a tear slowly rolled down his cheek. He rose to his feet, holding
her lifeless body in his arms, he swore revenge upon Sephiroth, saying "I'll make him suffer, and then send him
to hell where he belongs." He dropped her limp form into the stream, waving goodbye as she drifted to the bottom.*
