ME
---------------------------------------------------------------

1st i think if we where to do something like Orphan art. from some things i talked about and read on. Canada has a pretty good way of doing it with the board to go up to.

IT IS TRUE THAT THIS BILL DOES NOT  EXISTS!

now with that said i don't think people should"relax" not to say you should get in an "uproar" like most people(including me) was in the beginning. I think you should be concern and pay attention.

BY concern and pay attention i mean keep an eye out for this bill orphan art. when the official document comes out read it. Do research on it when it comes out. Even the interview with  Brad Holland he says that it doesn't exists yet and not contact anyone about it because they don't have the official version of it.

now the interview with Brad Holland says he been talking to congress (being part of the www.illustratorspartnership.org/ ) and what he is hearing so far is unsettling. this is where i think Mark Simon (since giving the interview) took this as more defiant word. Now congress can talk all they want till its down on paper don't really mean much.

From what Brad Holland said it was introduced a month or two ago and they want to pass it by summer. this (if true) concerns me the most. reasons for that is if someone didn't bring to light the discussion of the possible bill, congress could have made it to say anything. Now with everyone in an uproar it would be less likely to put things that may hurt artist or even get passed.

My other concern is this proves how little as artist we know whats being passed on our behalf or for whose benefit. How little we pay attention.  This i believe should concern everyone. Lets say worse case scenario they passed something to screw all or most artist. would we know in time to stop it? or would it be to late before we found out.

i going to try and follow the bill information and see what it says when it comes out. i urge the rest of you to do the same.

SO EVERYONE CLAM A BIT BUT KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!
