A how to...

This one will focus on Fan Characters(for the Sonic Series).

I'm just writing about how to have OK fan characters. Not total mary-sues/gary-stus or just plan boring.

1. Always make sure they are creative! (THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/357/f/7/some_amy_rose_recolor_by_amithebearcub-d35j16w.png )
2. Make them have different traits! (It's easier to find out which traits if you use Zodiac signs! Like a Taurus is Stubborn, etc.)
3. Use different animals! Hedgehogs are too overdone. It's good to have a variety of different animals! It makes them each seem unique in everyway! I guess it's fine to have a hedgehog or three, but if you have 7 or more it may seem kinda boring.
4. Make them each unique! (Unless siblings with another) It may seem like an easy idea to make them all look the same/have same stuff, but it's actually very boring and not creative.
5. Have good names! Like something that has to do with them! For example, Winter the wolf(Mine), her name is Winter. She has the power to do snow related things. See? It's not that hard. But it's okay to have a random name like Tag(mine), once in a while.
