On May 13th, 2008, Pastor Forrest Pollock and his thirteen year old son, Preston, died in a plane crash in the mountains of North Carolina.Pastor Forrest had served as senior pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church for several years. He was a compassionate man who served the LORD and showed the love of Christ in everything that he did. He was a loving father, a comitted husband, a great son, and a caring friend. But most importantly, he was a a humble, Godly man, and a faithful servant of Christ. Preston was the oldest son of six children. He was kind and had the evanelist spirit, just like his father. He loved his family and had many friends.
Many hearts are in pain at the passing of Pastor Forrest and Preston, including myself. However, we christains can have hope, for we know that our lives don't end in death, for we have been promised eternal life in heaven with our Heavenly Father. I know that one day, we will see Forrest and Prston again. |
