Chapter 8
Oogie, Sally, Lock, Jock and Barrel were riding in their haunted bath. Oogie sighed. ``I can't walk the whole way there, its just not right for me.'' Sally glared at him. ``Jack will find you and make you pay for this you know.'' Sally hissed. Oogie had a sarcastic look on his face. ``Oooh, I'm so scared of that BONEHEAD!'' He yelled in Sally's face. He turned toward his henchmen. ``Isn't that right guys?'' They glanced over for a second and agreed. ``Yeah boss, you said it. A real bonehead.'' Lock, Jock and Barrel, truthfully didn't like Oogie. They were pretty disappointed when they found out he survived and he made them work for him again. ``That's not true!'' Sally yelled back. ``Jack's gonna kick you big saggy butt! You know he is! He beat you before! He's gonna…'' ``Oh, will you shut up! Barrel! Tie up this loud mouth woman.'' ``Yes sir!'' Barrel took out a rope and some cloth and tied Sally so that he couldn't move or speak. Oogie sighed and leaned back. ``Much better.'' Sally groaned and lowered her eyes in depression and annoyance. ``Hey Boss!'' the kids shouted out. ``WHAT!!!'' Oogie screamed extremely annoyed. They all jumped and blinked. ``Um…we're here.'' They smiled nervously. ``Ah ha, splendid!'' Oogie jumped out of the tub. The kids took Sally and laid her beside a tree. Oogie took out the book and flipped to the page with the spell. ``Here we go…'' he whispered to himself. Meanwhile, Jack was running as fast as he could with Zero chasing behind. ``I have to stop him! I hope I'm not too late!'' Oogie started to chant the spell. Jack was running furiously to get there on time. The sky grew dark. Clouds formed over head. Right above where Oogie was standing, a bright purple hole formed itself in the sky. Jack could see Oogie now. ``There he is!'' He pumped his long legs as fats as he could. The hole in the sky opened quickly. A suction began to pull at everyone around. Jack was too late. Oogie put the book away. ``Yes! The first step of my plan complete!'' Jack looked up. ``God, this can't be. I didn't make it.'' He saw Sally and ran over to her. He untied her and she hugged him quickly. ``Jack! You won't believe it! Oogie's gonna…'' ``I know Sally, I know. I'm…too late.'' Sally held his face in her hands. ``Jack don't say that.'' She looked into his eyes very seriously. ``We can follow him.'' Jack blinked. ``I'll follow him. You stay here and be safe.'' ``Jack, I'm coming whether you like it or not!'' Jack stood up and walked toward the portal. ``Zero, you stay with Sally at all times. OK boy?'' Zero barked, obeying Jack's order. ``Sally…'' he turned back to her and kissed her fully on the lips, hard and lovingly. Sally moaned softly in surprise. Jack smiled at her. ``I love you.'' ``I love you too. My Pumpkin King.'' Jack hugged her and ran off toward Oogie who was already halfway in the air. ``Hoo hoo ha ha ha ha! Too bad Jack! Guess I win after all!'' Jack jumped up and clung onto Oogie's leg. ``How dare you!'' he started to tackle him in mid air. ``How dare you take Sally!'' He punched him hard in the gut. ``How dare you plan to destroy these people! How dare you!'' He started kicked him with long hard shots. ``H-hey! That hurts!'' Oogie growled. As they were about to enter the portal, Sally ran over and willingly got sucked in as well. ``Like I said, I'm coming with you.'' She said to herself. Zero hung onto her leg, getting sucked in as well. There was a huge FLASH!
…The woods were quiet. No one was around. Jack, Sally, Zero, Oogie and his kids were no where to be found…at least not in this dead world…
