The way they saw it, life was through a dogs eyes. You were either owned, or stray. And if you have no idea what the heck I am talking about: They judged some one’s “Dating” Status like it was the ownership [or lack there of] over a dog. You see, if you were stray, then you were single. Like a poor doggy out on the streets with no real place to go. But if you were an owned dog, you had some one or a special home or place you could go to anytime. The terms usually referred to boys. Not that girls could not be in the same positions, it was simply that girls always seemed girls were the owners….

This entire thing had started a few months ago when Mason and Laura had finally started going out. It went like ant other relationship would at the beginning only smoother. Then after a while Laura seemed to have all of the control in the world over him. So one day when this opinion was being proven, Greg said, “Man, she has you trained like a dog!”
Mason had simply looked at him and responded, “Yeah? Well maybe I’m a happy dog!”
The others began to laugh. “Yeah, well whatever dude. Honestly on my part, its tons more fun being a stray.” (hint hint :P)
Just then, some random pretty girl that they didn’t know walked by.
“But then again….catch you guys later! This dog has a bone to fetch!” with that Greg ran off ‘chasing’ her and as it turned out he was put in the doghouse. +in the doghouse is a term meaning you’re in trouble+ +btw+
He got a newspaper upside the head and came puppy pouting back to the others. From then on Greg felt as though he was on a short leash with bitches. +bitches being used in the term: female dog. Not the other more…evil meaning.+ +im technically not cussing you see.+
