Mischief and Flash called it a day and let the wind take them upper river. Flash woke several times in the night to check that they weren’t in the middle of the ocean. On one occasion, Flash awoke to find a bat-looking creature standing at the top of the mast, but Flash couldn’t be bothered to converse and fell asleep.
The next time Flash woke up he saw Mischief’s eating what looked like breakfast. The bat creature was gone.

Flash: *looking at Mischief* what’s that?

Mischief: Beans on Toast.

Flash: 0_o

Mischief: It’s a Dorado -_-‘

Flash: *stares blankly*

Mischief: It’s a fish!

Flash: You could have easily just said that.

Jackass!

Mischief: You want some?

Mischief handed the remains of the golden coloured fish to Flash, and he walked to the edge of the raft. The pyramids were very close and the deserted villages were visible.

Flash: This is our stop.

Mischief: What about the ship?

Flash: What about it? *looks around* It’s not gonna go anywhere.

Mischief: Just to be safe…

Mischief: Mischief carved out “S.S Jack” on the mast with his claw.

Flash: I like it.

They couldn’t sail to the pyramids so they had to journey there on foot. There was the whole day to get there so they walked.

Flash: So how did you get here?


Mischief: What makes you think I wasn’t here in the first place?

Flash: *stops walking and then starts* Touché

Mischief: Well anyway I was here with a friend, a brother really. There are loads of sandworms and scorpions in these sands. Eggman-

Flash: Eggman?

Mischief: The fat man that you scared off in emerald hill. Anyway Eggman surveillances all of the zones for suspicious activity, or more specifically Sonic activity. Me and my brother were attacked by these bloody androids and he got overrun by them. He was younger than me and he died from exhaustion.

Flash: I’m sorry; I thought my life was bad.

Mischief: So are you gonna abandon me and ask someone else for a normal life?

Flash: *shocked* No man

Ah nuts, busted!

Mischief: It’s been a few months since that day, and I’ve been wandering these deserts, doing what I have to do. Eat, sleep…

Flash knew his place and stayed silent.

Mischief: *almost in tears* He was the greatest guy you could ever know. *Laughs* If anyone saw us together you would of thought we were father and son the size he was. When someone goes who’s close to you Flash, you’ll understand what I’m going through.

Flash: *shouts* Understand? What’s there to understand!

Flash ran off towards the pyramids leaving a trail of electricity behind him. Mischief was left to walk to the pyramids alone.
