Chapter 8 First Kill
After Fury landed she sat down on a rock by a beautiful waterfall to figure out what she was going to do. She thought until she saw the sun start to peek over the trees. She had to get into the shade before the sun touched her cold, dead body. She quickly looked for a place to stay until the sun went back down. She found a small cave under the waterfall. She ran into it and she got to the deepest part of the cave to wait out the day. She started to doze off when she was awoken by a sudden pain in her side she looked and realized that she was leaning into a ray of sunshine, and she scrambled further into the cave. She found a more shaded spot and fell back to sleep. She awoke when she heard voices coming towards her and she tried the best she could to hide in the shadows to see who it was. She figured out she could use her claws to climb to the cave ceiling and hide, so she did. She waited in silence to find out who was following her. She realized that it was dark outside but she could see perfectly, and she also she could hear heartbeats and she could even smell blood coming closer and closer. She was extremely hungry so she thought she could feed off of whoever came into this cave, so she waited for the figure to walk under her so she could pounce on them. She didn’t have to wait long before the figure walked under her and she dropped off of the ceiling and on top of person. She was just about to bite when she realized who the figure was. It was Jesse and her brother followed close behind her. They both looked at the creature in horror. Once Fury saw them she scrambled off of Jesse and ran deeper into the cave. She was hoping they didn’t recognize her and she heard their footsteps following her. She decided to give up and she stopped and waited for them to find her and she sat down on the cave floor and started to cry. She couldn’t believe she almost killed her own friend. She saw a pair of lights coming towards her and they had found her they shined their flashlights at her and Jesse walked cautiously up to the crying creature and knelt down to get a better look at the animals face and she instantly recognized her and she said, “ Fury is that you?” All Fury could do was nod slightly. “I’m so sorry Jesse, I can’t help myself, and I can’t control it” says Fury. “What can’t you control?”asks Jesse’s brother.”“My curse,” says Fury. “What curse?” asks Jesse. Fury just spread her bat wings and then folded them back up. “When did this happen?” asks Jesse. “It happened yesterday,” says Fury. She wasn’t going to tell them she was a vampire until she had to. They thought she just got bat wings. They knew nothing about her fangs, so she tried not to reveal them. “You guys should go home now,” says Fury. “But Fury you went missing for a long time and we got worried because you wouldn’t just leave us,” says Jesse. “I know and I’m sorry but you don’t know what will happen to you if you don’t leave now,” demands Fury. “Why do you want us to leave you so bad?” asks Jesse’s brother. “There is more to your curse than your letting on, isn’t there?” asks Jesse. “No, what would make you think that?” asks Fury trying to lie the best she can. “Well my first clue was when you fell off of the cave ceiling and on top of me it seemed like you were going to bite me or something, and my second clue was your behavior now there is something your not telling us?” explains Jesse. Fury had been caught. She had to come clean but she knew they wouldn’t like what they were about to hear. “I don’t think you are going to like this,” warns Fury. “Well get on with it,” says Jesse’s brother. “ Well, I was captured by the military and they were performing an experiment on me because I am part of the Ultimate Lifeform and they wanted to see if I could survive being injected with a strange chemical that attacked my brain and it had a strange affect on me and it turned me into a blood thirsty monster or as you would call it a vampire, so that is why I attacked you because I needed to feed or I will die,” explains Fury. “Fury if that is what happened than why didn’t you tell us?” asks Jesse. “Because I don’t want you to get hurt because of me,” says Fury. “ Wow you are created from Shadow The Ultimate Lifeform!!!” says Jesse’s brother. “Yes but none of them know where I’m at,” says Fury. “Why don’t they know where your at?” asks Jesse. “ Because they don’t care, because they think I’m a criminal, ” says Fury. “ What happened?” asks Jesse. “Well, I woke up to and alarm going off and the gang found my hair at the crime scene and found a stolen jewel in my room and I have no idea how it got there,” explains Fury. As she was talking Jesse started to notice that Fury started to get paler and paler. She looked as if she was going to pass out. Then there was the sound of foot steps coming from the mouth of the cave and Fury’s ears perked at the sound and she signaled for everybody to be quiet. She then snuck deep into the shadows and she crept toward the sound. All Jesse and her brother could hear was the sound of talking amongst the figures. Then there was the sound of gunshots and men yelling then all fell silent. Fury finally returned when she came into view Jesse saw that blood surrounded Fury’s mouth and she was baring her blood stained fangs. She looked a lot like the wolf in the woods that wanted to kill Jesse, but the only difference was those gentle lavender eyes of hers. Fury wiped the blood off with the back of her hand and looked at Jesse’s horrified glare and she said “ I am sorry Jesse, but those were the men that did this to me so they paid for what they did.” Jesse stood up still horrified at what she had just saw and all she could say was “I think your right we should go home before our mother thinks something is wrong.”“I should have known that you wouldn’t react well to my curse,” says Fury. “No it’s not that at all you did nothing wrong you did what you needed to do and that is all that matters,” says Jesse. “ So it’s ok with you if your friend is a blood drinking monster,” says Jesse’s brother. They all look toward the mouth of the cave and the sun is going down and darkness is setting in. “It’s getting dark and we can’t see in the dark so would you mind escorting us home so we don’t get eaten by any wild animals?” asks Jesse. “Hey sis aren’t you at all worried that Fury might eat us?” asks Jesse’s brother. “No, not at all because if you did not notice she just ate part of the army and I believe that she will control herself, won’t you Fury?” says Jesse. “I will try my hardest and I will get you home,” says Fury. With that they all leave the cave trying not to step on the five army guards lifeless bodies. And they set off into the night.
