Shadow was on his way to the mystic ruins to calm himself down and think about what the boy said. Why was Christmas so important? It was just a stupid holiday were people exchange gifts and eat a bunch of candy and food, right? But why does everyone always seem so happy around this time of year? And why is it that....

BUMP! Shadow was so busy thinking to himself that he didnt notice Scar on his way to the party. "Hey, you OK?" Scar said as he got up and walked over to Shadow.

"I'm fine," Shadow said kinda grumpy.

"I'm on my way to the Christmas Bash. Wanna come?"

"Why should I wast valuble time going to some stupid Christmas thing when I have better things to do?" Shadow said stubbornly.

"Hey, don't be a crab about it, I was just asking," Scar said.

"Get out of my sight," Shadow said as he pushed Scar to the ground.

"You gonna treat me like that?" Scar said, now ticked, "I'll treat you like that!" Scar said as he hit Shadow with a sonic spin. Shadow dodged it and knocked Scar to the ground with a chaos control. Scar fell and got up as fast as he could, but Shadow knocked him back down with another chaos control.

"Give up?" asked Shadow with an evil like smirk and put his foot on his back.

"Never," Scar said as he sonic spun Shadow off his back. Both got up, both ready to launch a final attack on each other. They didn't notice Tala walking by. Tala was having a break as a DJ and let Tails take control so she could catch some fresh air when Tala noticed Scar and Shadow fighting.

"Oh crud," Tala thought to herself, "Scar and Shadow fighting? I have a secret crush on Shadow and Scar is one of my friends? Only one thing to do. This is gonna hurt..." Tala thought and jumped into the double attack, launched by both Shadow and Scar, blocking the attack for both.

Tala screamed in pain as she let the attack take her. She fell to the ground and lay uncouncious in the snow. Both Scar and Shadow ran to Tala.

"This is your fault!" Scar yelled at Shadow, angerly.

"My fault? Your the one who launched the first attack on her!"

Shadow and Scar continued to argue till Tala stopped the fight with two, shaky words, "Stop...fighting..." Tala said before she knocked out. Scar and Shadow just starred. Scar picked Tala up and took her back to the Christmas Bash. Shadow watched as Scar walked off with Tala in his arms. Shadow left to the mystic ruins to clear his head.
