"Aqua, Hotaru, will you help me get the lights?"Haruka asked. They were putting the finishing touches on the Christmas tree. "Hai!"Aqua and Hotaru replied happily, starting to walk to the garage where the lights were. "So, how's my favorite little sis been doing in her training?"Aqua asked.
"Great! Watch, Shadow Catch!"Hotaru replied, squeezing her hands together in front of her body and Aqua suddenly not being able to move then noticing something was holding her shadow. "That's awsome Taru-chan! Now how about letting me go before I bring a stream of that snow outside to hit you and make you let me go?"Aqua said, Hotaru's grip suddenly letting go. "Girls, stop messing around and help me!"Haruka cried, suddenly making the girls notice she was struggling under the wieght of about five boxes. "Taru-chan."Aqua said.
"Shadow Catch!"Hotaru said, catching the shadows of the boxes and carrying them easily inside. Once they had all the lights and decorations on the tree the last piece was the star. "Who's going to put the star on?"Chibiusa asked. "Star on, star on?"ChibiChibi mimicked.
"I think that the strongest of us all should put it on."Aqua said, meaning that Setsuna should. "Ok, here."Michiru said, handing her the star. "What?"Aqua asked, looking down at the star. "Aqua, you had to go years without knowing where we were or if were ok. Once you did know we were alright you could only stand by and watch us through that orb of yours and train for the day you would be needed. Then once that day came you were one of the strongest fighters of us all, and now your helping us discover old powers. That makes YOU the strongest of us all, the honor is yours."Haruka said, pointing to the treetop.
"Arigato."Aqua said, walking over to the tree with tears in her eyes. Then, with small gentle hands, she placed the star on top of the tree. "Ok, flip the lights Trinity."Setsuna said as Trinity turned off the lights. Once that was done Haruka plugged in the tree and it lit up.
"Wow, its so pretty."Aqua said, leaning her head on Damian's shoulder. "Just like you Koneko-chan."Damian replied, kissing her on top of the head. "Ok minna, its late, time for bed."Setsuna said. Luckily she had used her powers to supersize the house and have enough rooms for everyone but it was still the same size so if Usagi, Trinity, Chibiusa, or Aqua screamed their eardrums would still burst. "Ok, night minna!"Aqua said, rushing up the staires to her room that she missed dearly.
When she got to the door Aqua immediatly flopped onto her bed and said, "Oh sweet bed how I've missed you." "Ok Aqua-chan, its time for bed."Kit said, sliding inside. Ever since they got to college a lot of Kit's additude had disappeared, all of the girls loved her, and Aqua had gained a very close bond of friendship with her. "Ok Kit-chan."Aqua said, bouncing over to her suitcase and pulling out her regular pajama pants and a light pink tank top.
Once she was ready she pulled back the covers. "I'm guessing I'll be on the floor as usual?"Kit asked. "Nope."Aqua said, curling under the covers and patting a place beside her. "You mean it?"Kit asked.
"Of course I do! From now on, my favorite little guardian is sleeping with me!"Aqua said, smiling. "Arigato Aqua-chan, it means a lot to me."Kit said, jumping up beside her and curling under the covers. And the two fell into a light sleep.
But close to midnight, Aqua started suffering from racking shudders and at the same time right next door the same thing was happening to Hotaru. Hotaru was having an awful dream, obvious that it was a vision: Aqua, in a dark place in her princess form, surrounded by clones of Megumi. Its like the clones were slowly tearing her apart without even touching her and Hotaru had to stand by and watch it all. "This can't be! We all destroyed Megumi almost a year ago, she can't be back!"Hotaru said, not wanting to accept what she was seeing. Then, she woke up.
"The danger is near, Aqua! I have to get some help!"Hotaru said, hopping out of bed and rushing down the hall away from her watchful eye on Aqua's room to get Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna up and tell them what was about to happen. But while she was going to get help, Aqua was also having a vision: She was in a dark room, in her princess attire: But she knew her mother wasn't here no matter how badly she wished she was. But then, a sickly voice she never thought she would here again rang through: "Listen here Sailor Aquarius, soon this room you are in shall become real. You will be sucked into it where your sniviling friends can't help you and then I shall exect my revenge." "Megumi! This can't be real, we beat you! This isn't real, I want to go back home."Aqua said, holding her head in her hand and falling to her knees. Then, she woke up as well, not hearing the pounding feet of the senshi as they came running down the hall to her room. Then, the clock stroke midnight and the sickly voice rang out right before the senshi had reached the door: "The time is come for my revenge to begin."
Then, a swirling black portal opened up and started sucking everything up in it just as the girls opened the door and saw her hanging onto her bed for dear life. "Minna!"Aqua cried. "Aqua!"Trinity, Rei, and Minako cried, grabbing her arms right as she let go of her bed. "Minna, don't let go!"Aqua cried, her eyes pleading with them to save her.
"We won't let go Aqua!"Trinity said. Then, just as she said those words, their hands slipped apart. "MINNA!"Aqua screamed, getting sucked into the portal and disapearring. "AQUA!"Trinity screamed.
And that was it: On what should've been the most joyful day of the year, Aqua got taken by the enemy to the one place where they couldn't get to her: The Negaverse.
