"No, how could we have let this happen again?"Trinty asked, a stray tear falling on Kit's head who was sitting by Athena on her lap. "I should have gotten the vision earlier that way we could've gotten to her in time and gotten her out of there!"Hotaru said, slamming her fist into the wall the same way Haruka did whenever something like this happened. "Hotaru, don't beat yourself, or the wall for that matter *Insert Haruka looking at the small indention in the wall*, up. There's no telling when you would've gotten that vision. Besides, Aqua's a fighter, she won't be taken down without a fight."Haruka said, putting her hands on Hotaru's shoulders.
"Its all my fault!"Hotaru cried, launching herself into Haruka's arms. Then, once Hotaru let go, a small blue orb appeared in her hands. "What is that?"Minako asked, reqognizing the energy emitting from it immediatly. "Its a Soul Orb, when someone gives one to another person it binds them together and let's them see when something bad is happening to the other. The only ones left were destroyed along with the attack on the Moon Kingdom: except for this one. Since Hotaru has never put that orb down since the day Aqua gave it to her all that time ago its the only one left. That's why the two of them have been so close since day one."Michiru explained, knowing full well what it was considering the blabbing those two did late into the night through it lately had kept her awake almost every night.
Then, Hotaru started talking to it even though it was obvious she was blocking out Aqua's voice. "But Aqua, when were talking through this were not suppoused to let anyone else see!"Hotaru said. Then, they heard her voice loud and clear: "I think this qualifies as an exception Hotaru! Now show it!" "Reveal."Hotaru said, holding the orb out in front of her and it turning into a giant screen that showed Aqua, in her princess attire, falling through the air looking just like Usagi did all those years on the Moon Kingdom when they saw her dead.
Then, she finally hit the ground. "Itai."Aqua said, rubbing her bottom. "Welcome princess."A voice said. Then, out stepped Megumi.
"What is your revenge?"Aqua asked. "First, I have a question: Do you know why you were sent to live on the Moon Kingdom?"Megumi asked. "Of course I do! Ookasan was dying from a fatal sickness and Setsuna-chan brought me to safety to live with my Aunt then went back to the palace to stay with her the remainder of her life since she had been her protector since she was young then mine once I was born!"Aqua cried, getting angered at such an impertinant question.
"Heh, well it appears your protector hasen't given you the whole truth so I guess I'll have to."Megumi said. "NO!"Setsuna cried. "You see princess, when Sailor Pluto did that it wasn't because your mother was sick with a deadly disease, it was because I was in route to your castle with the intent of killing you. When I arrived to find only your sickening White Moon mother and that nosy Sailor Pluto protecting her I did the only reasonable thing: I killed her."Megumi explained. "NO!"Setsuna cried again, falling to her knees and starting to cry: Aqua wasn't suppoused to know that she wasn't able to keep her mother safe. Then, she looked at the screen to see Aqua was doing the same thing she was: On her knees crying.
"Does that upset you little princess? Knowing your only family was killed by me and the only one left wasn't able to protect her? Well, believe it because its the truth and you can't hide from the truth forever and now you will die knowing the truth."Megumi said, pulling out a rod just like hers except black and silver. Then, Aqua stood up, rod in hand and stared at Megumi. "Yes, it does upset me to know the truth. But I know that Setsuna-chan must have done everything in her power to protect Ookasan even if in the end she failed. And I'm sure Ookasan didn't go down without a fight either so in honor of them: NEITHER WILL I!"Aqua cried, releasing a blast of bright pink energy from the rod that slammed into Megumi and nocked her back about five feet.
"If its a fight you want little princess, its a fight you shall recieve!:Megumi cired, shooting about nine clones out of her body and all of them spinning around them at high speeds. "Guys I can't tell which one it is! I need help!"Aqua cried in her head begging for one of them to answer her. Then, Ami's voice gently cried back, "Stay calm Aqua, we are all watching and your doing fine, just imagine that your using my Mercury Computor and goggles. Clones always have a different energy signature to real people so pinpoint which energy signal is different from the rest and that one's Megumi."Ami explained.
"Right!"Aqua said, closing her eyes and using the techniuge she learned from Rei all that time ago. Then, she sinced the different energy signature: She found her. She held up her rod, collected the energy and, BAM! Megumi was slammed away from her again and the clones disappeared. "My revenge is completed, you've won."Megumi chocked out. And with that she faded into nothingness. That's when Aqua finally lost all control of her emotions: She collapsed on the ground and started sobbing her heart out. While she was doing that different colored lights started swirling around her and she was telported into the room where everyone else was.
When Setsuna noticed that she was crying she sat down beside her, hugged her, and just let her cry, it was the best thing for her right now. After she had finished crying Galaxia spoke up: "Since Setsuna is obviously the only one here who knows what Megumi was talking about maybe she should explain." "Ok, let's go downstaires to the living room and I'll make some hot chocolate."Makoto said. Once they were all seated in the living room with hot chocolate Setsuna started her explination:
"You see, back then before Aqua was born, Queen Selena lived on the Moon Kingdom just like the rest of us. Then, just like Usagi did, she fell in love with a man from Earth. He ruled the small kingdom of the South Pole. Eventually he would come to be known as Aqua's father. His name was Kuroki. When they were married and Selena announced that she was moving into the South Pole palace I of course went with her being her protector and all. When we arrived at the palace I instantly fell in love with it: I knew Selena's lifelong dream was to get married and have a baby girl and I figured once that dream became reality this would be the perfect place to raise her future child. Eventually her dream came true with you Aqua. We were all happy in the palace just you, your mother, your father, anf me. Then, when you were about three and a half a war started raging in the center kingdom. Your father rushed off to help but never came back. So it was down to you, your mother, and me. We grieved for a while but we were happy. I remember you always looked up to me and wanted to do everything just like me and your mother. Then, I saw the attack Megumi would be launching on the palace and I did what I felt best: I warned your mother. I told her that she and you should escape to the Moon Kingdom and I would defend the palace then come and get the two of you when it was safe again. She said the only thing she wanted me to do was to take you to the Moon Kingdom then come back and help her defend it and if she didn't make it to tell you that she had died of a terrible disease. So I did what she asked and I got back I had just enough time to get beside her and get my weapon out before the attack started. We did the best we could but we couldn't do much with our strentgh. So she did the only thing possible: She used her crystal. She of course died so I told you what she told me to tell you."Setsuna explained.
"Arigato for telling me Setsuna. At least now I know the truth."Aqua said, hugging her. "Well, since its morning anyway let's open our presents!"Usagi said. "YEAH!"Everyone cried in agreement. So they all started tearing at their presents to finish what was probably their most heart felt Christmas ever.
