Korono and Kaota's journey had gone smoothly so far. They were attacked by only three monsters since they began to go north.

Korono: Do you see that? *points at a giant bird like thing*

Kaota: Yea, it's another oza.

Korono: Oza.......? I thought that was where we're going.

Kaota: "monsters" like me. Our species is named after where we live.

Korono: Ok.

They could tell that the oza was circling something. Then they realized there were actually three. One broke off from the rest of the group, and dive bombed something under the foliage of tree leaves up ahead. A girl screamed and a bolt of lightning struck the oza. It flew up again.

Korono: Let's hurry up and see whats going on. *unstraps sword and holds it in one hand*

Kaota: *does the same* yea


They emerged from the trees and entered a small clearing. A purple and white hedge-cat and a black echidna with yellow, lightning like streaks were in the middle, fending off the oza.

Korono: We'll help you!

Kaota flew up into the air towards the three oza. They immediately appeared twice as vicious as before and struck at Kaota with their claws. Kaota dodged and weaved through the multitude of attacks being sent at him, and stabbed one with his sword. It hit the ground and it's life was taken away in an instant.

Korono: I wanna fight!!

Kaota: Oh, sorry.

Kaota dropped from the sky and grabbed Korono's hand. He threw him up at the two remaining oza with amazing strength. Korono soared up and sliced the two oza in one wide arc of his sword. The oza both fell to the ground and ceased breathing. As Korono fell back down, Kaota caught him and placed him back onto the ground.

Korono: *looks at the two strangers* I'm Korono and this is Kaota *points*. What are your names, and where are you bound?

Eclipse. The female hedge-cat answered. The echidna declared his name was Flash.

Flash: We really aren't going anywhere.

Korono: You could join us, we are going to the arctic circle, a rip in the sky to be exact.

Eclipse: Interesting... *speaks to flash*

Eclipse: Sure!

Kaota: *fills them in with their mission* Why did those oza attack you?

Flash: Simply put, they were hungry.

They began walking, and Korono left his motorcycle in the clearing.

Korono: It ran out of gas.

Kaota: Ohhhh......
