Tala: So that necklace was a family heirloom that was passed down from your parents before they died?

Korono: Yep

Kaota: Who killed them?

Korono: Im not exactly sure..... wait! It could have been that annoying queen! You said she needed it.

Kaota: It's possible.

Korono's irises fluctuated into a fierce red color as anger flowed through him.

Korono: That has to be it!

Tala: Keep your voices down, we're entering the castle.

Korono's irises reverted back to normal as they opened the door.

Tala: Whoa.

Marble statues lined the walls and on the far side a spiraling staircase went up far up above their heads. Suddenly, Korono's eyes turned red again and a strange power unlike any other started to flow inside his body. His vision was twice as sharp as it was before and he felt way stronger. He knew he could feel an aura start flowing from his body. A new power was beginning to awaken inside of him. And then, it was gone. He changed completely back to what he was before without any trace of what just happened. Kaota and Tala were to busy taking in their surroundings to notice Korono's transformation.

Then they all took a better look at the staircase. There were about 300 steps and Tala and Korono couldnt waste that much energy on stairs just in case they needed to fight the queen everyone spoke so highly about. As if Kaota read their minds, he gestured for them to get on his back. He opened his wings and flapped up for the queen's room.

Out of nowhere, Korono got a headache way worse than a migraine and his irises changed color again. He felt strength surge from his body and he felt more powerful than he did at the entrance. But the headache only worsened as they got closer to the queen's room. And then, it was gone again.

They stood at the door and marveled at how nice the door was. It had a knocker carved into an oza and the whole door was even taller than kaota. Then, the door snapped open and Daos emerged.

Daos: Can I take care of it?

A ghostly female voice emanated from the room.

???: Go ahead.

CLANG! A shower of sparks came crashing down as Korono blocked Daos' lightning fast sword attack. Daos kicked out at korono and he leaped back. He landed on the staircase railing and lunged off at Daos. He stepped back and kicked at Korono in mid air. He was sent crashing into the queen's room. His head hit a wall and he started bleeding badly. His vision blurred and Daos charged at him again. He blinked and Daos already had his sword over Korono's head, preparing to give the finishing blow. Korono's head hurt badly once again. Daos had his sword slicing through the air, at his head and then.........

A black aura exploded from Korono and Daos' sword flew from his hand and thudded into a wall. He staggered back and a look of surprise broke out from his face. Korono's vision was better than a hawk's and his fighting instincts took over.

Daos dropped to the floor. dead.

Korono stood over daos' body with his sword lodged deep inside his heart. He killed him without even realizing it. He pulled the blood stained sword from the dead body and was very surprised. The amazing power he just had was gone.

Tala and Kaota were just as shocked as korono was. And just then, a female Oza emerged from the other side of the room. He didnt even notice she was there.
