Gilraen burst through the abbey door. “Wheres Kai?!!!” Adam stepped over to her. She didn't move. “Ah, Gilraen. Nice to see you've calmed down.” “Tell me where he is.” “I don't have to…” Behind him the machine door opened. Gilraen gasped as Kai stepped out. “Gilraen?!” He seemed as surprised as she was. “Adam you didn't!!! No! I cant believe this!” Adam laughed again, the cold, evil laugh. “Yes. I control both of your lives now. I have both of your souls.” Gilraen dropped to her knees “I cant believe this is happening!!!” Adam grabbed Kai and threw him into a cell. “Ill be keeping him here for now. You can go. You need to win this tournament.” He laughed again, then his face was serious again, almost scary. “When you turn sixteen, you will both be dead!” “Gilraen?!! Gilraen where are you?!” Adam threw her into a storage cupboard and locked the door. She kicked and screamed until she heard a familiar voice coming from outside. She stopped and listened against the door. “Adam, where's Gilraen? Were facing off against the White Tigers in an hour! I need to know where she is!” Gilraen screamed again “ANDREA! HELP! I'M IN HERE!!” Adam unlocked the cupboard door, and Gilraen, who had her ear pressed against the door, stumbled out on to the floor. “Argh!” she exclaimed as she dusted herself down and stood up. “Andrea! Hi, sorry I was just…” “Look nevermind! Ok, were facing the white tigers in an hour! We need to go meet the others. Lets go!” Gilraen glared at Adam and started to follow her to the stairs. “No, go this way, its quicker!” She let Andrea down passed the cells. Andrea didn't notice Kai as she walked passed. Gilraen stopped as she walked passed his cell. He grabbed her hand and looked up at her hopelessly. “Hurry up, Gilraen!” She looked back at him and whispered “Ill come back for you.” He let go of her hand and she followed Andrea out the door. As the match was going on, Kai sat there wishing the blade breakers hadn't come to this tournament. Wishing they had never met Team Darkness. Wishing he had told them where he was going. Wishing they would come and get him. He heard footsteps coming down the stairs and a familiar voice. “Ok Adam, I'm here. I told you id find a way to get out. They can let Kevin fight instead of me! I don't care. I'm with you.” Kai listened hard. For the next couple of hours, they just sat there talking, with moments of silence. Until he heard more footsteps on the stairs.
