Gilraen arrived at the hotel an hour early. She cursed Adam for making her go so early, but then realised that Mariah was the only one in the hotel room. She could do it now! But Mariah wasn't asleep and that would make it easier. But it didn't matter to her. She was freezing and hungry and another day without food and she probably would've eaten Mariah. She stepped in through the open window and hid behind the curtain while Mariah was in the bathroom. When Mariah came out, Gilraen gripped her axe so hard her knuckles turned white. She was shaking she was so scared. What if she was caught? No, she couldn't think about that! Kai's life was at stake! She gripped the curtain, then stopped herself, thinking. A voice came into her head. `Hang on a second! I thought you cared about everyone's life, which is why you got involved with Kai in the first place! Now peoples lives don't matter because you want to save him?' Gilraen put her head in her hand. She had sunk so low. Against everything she stood for just to save Kai. She couldn't believe it. But she gripped the curtain again. She had to do it, no matter how bad and guilty she felt. She took a deep breath. “Sorry Mariah.” She flung the curtain backwards and jumped out. Mariah spun round but barely had time to scream as Gilraen flung the axe between her head and her shoulders. A clean sweep. She fell to the floor and her head rolled. Gilraen couldn't move. She stared at the body, the head, the blood. She couldn't believe what she had just done. She had executed Mariah! She breathed heavily, tears rolling down her cheeks. She would feel this guilt for the rest of her life. Then she remembered; her life would be over by morning. She thumped down on the blood-covered bed and buried her head in her arms. She was going to hell. She grabbed the head and the axe and walked back over to the window. She stood on the window ledge, ready to jump. Then she looked up to the sky. “I was only trying to save the life of somebody else. Please forgive me.” She whispered. She then leaped down to the building next door, shoving the head into the huge robe pocket. Already in the pocket was a knife. She carefully slipped the knife into her jean pocket and carried on moving. She felt Mariah's head hit her leg and she jumped from roof to roof, until she finally landed on the ground and walked the rest of the way back, trying to find a way to run without anybody dying or noticing that she had gone, but it was no use. She couldn't think of a possible solution to the problem they were in. How did she get into this mess! And her team and Kais team didn't have any idea what was going on! Only Andrea had noticed she was gone that one time. Then the thought hit her. Andrea! She could help! Gilraen took a short cut, which passed by her hotel. Luckily they were on the ground floor. She found their window and banged on it. Donna came and opened it and Ashley and her helped pull Gilraen in. “Where have you been? We've not seen you since yesterday! Not since the match!” “Yeah what happened?” “Nothing…have you seen Andrea?” “You just missed her. She went looking for you. Some guy came to the door looking for her aswell! We couldn't tell who it was because he was wearing a cloak like yours! Where did you get it?” “It was Adams. Where did she say she was going?” “To the abbey to look for you!” “No!” Gilraen was horrified. “Are you alright?” “yes…no…erm, Ive gotta go. Don't follow! Just forget I came in, ok?” “erm, ok then. But where are you going?” Gilraen ran to the window and lept out, calling back at them as she ran “I have to find her!!!” As Gilraen raced down the abbey stairs and spun into the room she saw that Adam had Kai tied up with rope to the wall. She paused, taking a breath. She held out Mariahs head. Kai looked horror struck. “I did my part, now hand him over!” Adam smiled “Well done Gilraen.” He looked over her shoulder. “Tie her up with the boy!” “What the-?” Gilraen began, but guards grabbed her and tied her back next to Kai. Adam took the robe and the axe away. Kai turned to her. “Why did you come back?” “Sorry?” “You know he was lying don't you? He's not really going to spare my life! He's going to kill both of us! There've already been 2 murders tonight, I thought you would be smart enough to run and save yourself!” “Two murders? I only killed one person!” “Look.” Kai nodded towards the top shelf where Adam had put Mariah's head. Next to it was another head. A very familiar head. Gilraen screamed. “ANDREA!!!”
