Then I colored it in GIMP and added a couple of unsharp masks.
Anyway, about Sun. (If you've followed me this long, this is pretty much just a review of my old fanfics. Plus some new info I came up with after I stopped writing. XD) She's Aeris' twin sister and Cloud's adopted sister, and later on she marries Vincent. Her original name was Aerin until she became one of Hojo's experiments, put in a mako reactor and forgotten about until the Nibelheim incident came about, then the pod she was in was knocked over and that's how she met Zack and Cloud.
She was killed by Sephiroth about sixteen years later, after he'd killed Vincent to rile her up (and way after she'd had two or three kids with him, including Windsong. XD), but she killed him at the same time. (How original, I still have the same badguy. XP) When she returned to life for some reason (haven't figured that part out yet) she had a single white wing on the left side of her back.
Anyway. Final Fantasy 7 is (c) Squaresoft, and Sun is (c) me. Bluh bluh.

I was listening to Celtic Thunder's cover of Dire Straits' 'Brothers in Arms', while trying to write on a chapter of one of my fics, it got me thinking about the lyrics of the song and the characters of Crisis Core, particularly from Zack's perspective. :clap:

I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy VII series and further more, I drew the logo of the "Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary" logo. So what if it's been 13 years since it came out (that's when I was born!) I love it! I really liked the orgrinal drawing and thought I might take it on. I used colouring pencils for some of it, but I just got gel pens and really wanted to use 'em!!! All three character hair are done with gel pen, as are they armor. The rest is pencil. Around the age of 13, Zen joins the Shin-Ra military in a bid to financially help out her family. She meets Zack who convinces her to join SOLDIER. They later meet Kunsel upon arriving in Junon and the three quickly become good friends. Though Zen occasionally bumps heads with Zack over differences in fighting tactics, they eventually come to an understanding with each other. But behind the smile and the mask of friendship, Zen hides an uncomfortable secret that is soon discovered by Zack upon a mission to Zen's hometown.

Getting a little better in terms of drawing people. Looks like that advanced figure drawing class I took paid off somewhat.
I'm a big fan of the classic Final Fantasy VII design of SOLDIER, which uses a different and more colorful uniform system than Crisis Core. Yeah, I messed up majorly on the boots in addition to other parts. Oh well. I like how the hair turned out, though.
This is the very first drawing I've done from scratch using my tablet. It passes decidedly well since it's up to par with my traditional ink drawings. One complaint I have is that I find it hard to control my shading using the tablet pen because what I'm trying to do and what the computer picks up doesn't synchronize as accurately as I would like.
No critiques please as I did this to further test out my tablet's capabilities.
And, I know he's got tattoos on his body, but his concept art makes it look as though the tattoos were lower on his front legs, hence why they are lacking at this angle.

Let's say Lucrecia Crescent realizes her mistake after Sephiroth is born and she witnesses Hojo's experimentation on Vincent. With determination, she grabs Vinny out of that nasty tank and runs off to, say, some random town near the waterfall. A few years later, Lucrecia gives birth to an albino boy who grows up somewhat healthy, happy, and strong. Vincent grows his hair out to hide his identity as well as his abnormal red eyes. (Whether Angel inherits his red eyes from Vincent or they're red due to his albino condition is a mystery.)
One day, a little mishap causes Lucrecia to be accidentally injured by Sephiroth. Angel comes to help her and develops a strong hatred towards Sephiroth in the process. Some time later, he discovers that Sephiroth is *gasp* his half-brother and then drama, drama, drama.
Angel is based on some guy I've been seeing in my dreams long before I played Kingdom Hearts (so nyeh!). He has Vincent's smokin' hot good looks and Lucrecia's friendly personality. He can use a gun pretty well thanks to Vincent, but he'd much rather use a sword or his fists when it comes to fighting. Then there's his albino condition which causes him much discomfort, but he always hides his pain behind his cheerful smile.
And no, you can't have him because he's mine, mine, MINE!
Completely based off of and referenced from in-game screenshots. This guy was REALLY hard for me to do because the angles of his close-ups were in a way that forced me to guesswork a lot of his features. I'm not sure I've got the face right! And I highly doubt Bahamut ZERO is going to be any easier...

A small little subplot to my FFVII fanfiction, Paradox, in which two interesting characters meet as babies. I won't spoil it and tell you who so you're going to have to guess for yourself.
And here it is, the last of the Novelty Weapons comics. I hope you've enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed thinking them up.
Notes to consider:
* Red XIII/Nanaki's Hairpin weapon is not a big bow. (Actually, none of Red XIII/Nanaki's weapons show up in the game like the other characters so no one really knows what they look like.)
I've been dying to do this comic for a very, very long time. I would TOTALLY use Tifa's Work Glove to smack the crap out of that Scarlet in that one part in the game. To hell with glove slap; I glove SMACK!
Enemy Scarlet has been pwned. *FFVII victory theme plays* Go Tifa, go Tifa, go!
Notes to consider:
*Tifa's Work Glove is not actually that big in the game.
*Scarlet IS actually that dogy in the game.
*I love Tifa.
Rated Mature for the "B" word and cartoonic big boobies.
I don't feel that this couple gets the recognition they deserve. (That is, until Before Crisis and Crisis Core comes out.) As such, I've given them the honor of being in a rarely-done color pencil drawing. I think they're the cutest couple in FFVII. Zack and Aerith forever!

Gun designs were referenced from gun pictures I've found; however, for Cloud's gun, I tried to do his Before Crisis gun, but the pictures I've found of him with it are partial so I had to wing a majority of the gun's design.
Presenting Aerith Gast in an homage to a classic Disney movie! The mystery of how Aerith managed to get to the Forgotten City from Gongagga WITHOUT the Highwind has been solved. She's got Mary Poppins power.
Discovered by Shin-Ra infantrymen in the midst of the Sector 1 slums with nothing more than 2 katanas (Yoshiyuki and Murasame), this teenage girl was taken and put under observation by Shin-Ra's scientists at their laboratory based in Midgar. Her most major injury was a big gash that ran down the right side of her face. Thanks to medical aid, her wound was patched up but unfortunately her eye could not be salvaged. The procedure left her with a quite noticeable scar which she sometimes hides behind her bangs.
Some time later, it was discovered that the teenage girl has been imbued with Mako energy. It is assumed that she has been heavily exposed to a Mako reactor and is placed under Hojo for further examination. It is at this time when she receives the name Zero. Interested in her physical abilities, Hojo suggests having her become an infantryman under the condition that she is to only go on missions taken on by Sephiroth. (No reason is given as to why.)
As an infantryman, Zero is an upstanding soldier and only speaks when spoken to. She becomes quite proficient at using guns and is an exceptional sniper. However, she seems to have an interest in swordsmanship and has been observed to utilize her katanas more often than her gun. Despite that, she possesses no extraordinary abilities and has been overlooked for SOLDIER recommendation.
She is currently slated to accompany Sephiroth and First Class SOLDIER Zack Fair on an investigative mission in Nibelheim.
Sorry Cid fans. Can't help it. He's just so smack-able.
Anyways, I think this'll be the last Novelty Weapons comic I'll be doing. Can't really do anything with Tifa's Work Glove, Aerith's Umbrella, and Red XIII's Hairpin. Well, maybe I can figure out something with Aerith's Umbrella. Only time will tell...
I had a tough time coming up with something to do with Cid's Mop, so I decided to look at a screenshot of him using it in order for my brain to conjure up ideas. Then, out of nowhere, my friend/roommate comes up to my computer, points, and says "he's like a janitor." The rest was history.
Has anyone else besides me thought that Vincent's Silver Rifle was supposed to be really cool looking, only to find that when you equip it to him, he comes out with a dinky little watergun-looking thing? Yeah, that explains the "wtf?" look on his face.
Ya, I don't know why Cid doesn't have legs. Maybe I'll add them in someday... If I felt like it...
One of the many humorous highlights of the game is directing Cloud up many, many, MANY flights of stairs in order to sneak into the Shinra building. This is my rendition of what was probably going on in Barret and Tifa's minds as they climbed stair after stair.
Barret: #&*($ing SOLDIERS and their $&*#ing Mako! Tifa: *dead* Cloud: :D We're almost there!
Don't you just hate it when stairs have the innate ability to appear infinite?
