Well dragons are not generally hard, the only thing you have to worry about is how their structure is and generally how's they're put together. I start off with rough sketched shapes indicating various body parts. Oval for the head, a curved tea shaped spout for the neck. 9 Well I generally dragon dragons with long necks, you can draw them with shorter necks if you want) Then draw another shape, ( I usually go with a series or organic ovals to match with the body part I’m doing..if that made sense) Anyways, one for the chest, and make sure you make joints for the shoulders and arms and ec. Basically keep in mind that you have to be aware on the body.
Now in general there is no right or wrong way on drawing a dragon because it’s appearances are endless with your imagination! XD It can look ANY way you want, which is why I like drawing them so much ^_^. Also when drawing , well in general, start of softly in smooth sketch strokes, otherwise you’ll have a hard time erasing when you make an error….uhm that’s all I can think of right now. Oh yeah! Every detail counts! Take nothing for granted. However, there is time you can camouflage and blend some areas to look the same as your detailed ones. That is with shading. I have to say the most important areas of a dragon is it’s head, I go by, the head makes all the difference. ^_^
Sadly that's all I have to offer, I'll try to give you more when I draw you a tutorial! Bye, hope that helped a little.
