I didn't have a pencil at this time, so I had to use a pen O_O(I went back and wrote his name in later). Taking that into consideration, I don't think this is too bad.
Although my tour guide Suzi-san (who was absolutely awesome, I want to make a fan club) said he looked like a female ninja. O_O again. Well, she said his outfit looked like those worn by female ninjas, so by extension she said he looked like a female ninga.
Oh well. Hehe.Kouga and the Wolf Witch by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:545d2f77-fc44-9b76-20fa-eae21496105c2006-07-19T09:36:23-07:00This was also done in my sketchbook on the plane. While in Japan I came up with this character who I dubbed "Lady Wysteria." I made her as a sort of opposite of Kouga. So she's a fan-made character for the InuYasha series.
For some reason I always thought Kouga probably had girlfriends or I guess prospective mates would be a better term, and I always thought that there should be one that was more powerful than he. And thus the Wolf Witch began to emerge in my mind.
She's much older than Kouga, and they had a previous relationship prior to Kouga's obsession with Kagome. The relationship ended because of Kouga's increasing power and will of his own. He resented her controling side and left her to rejoin the pack. Lady Wysteria lives in the mountains far away from other packs, as other wolves distrust her because of her magical fetishes.
So, this is a little drawing of the two of them together, after the InuYasha series ends (supposing Kouga survives and Naraku is killed and Kouga can be happy). In this little drawing's world, Kouga has finally accepted Kagome doesn't love him, and has returned to Wysteria, bringing the relationship back to life, but on more equal terms.
...
*shrug* Eh, what can I say? I like drawing Kouga. And Lady Wysteria. And bells (the bells, bells, bells... inside joke. I went around saying that for a week just to bother my friend... in a good way.) And wysteria plants in general.

So, while I was on the thirteen hour plane ride to Japan, I thought I would try. My first sketches were horrid. I tried to draw him standing in a fighting pose with his two swords, I tried to draw him just standing, and I finally moved on to other things.
During this process however, I was listening to my beloved ipod. I came across one of my favorite songs, All Along the Watchtower, sung by Middlebury's all male a capella group: Dissipated Eight. For some reason it struck me as it could possibly been about Jarlaxle and Zaknafein. At one point there's this conversation between "a joker" and "a thief." While I don't think Zaknafein is "a joker," what the joker says reminds me of him. Below is the conversation in the song:
"There must be some kind of way out of here..." said the Joker to the thief. "There's too much confusion. I can't get no relief."
"There's no reason to get excited," the thief he kindly spoke. "Because there are many here among us who think that life is but a joke. But you and I we've been through life, and such is not our fate. So let us not talk falsely now; the hour's getting late."
I really don't know why this strikes me as a conversation between Zak and Jarlaxle, but it just did. And this drawing stemmed from the inspiration of the song. I hope y'all like my first attempt at drawing the mighty Zaknafein.
This was drawn in my sketchbook, which I bought in Japan after realizing that I couldn't not draw for two weeks. The background sucks, I know, I'm really back at backgrounds. The rocks look really flat. It's an awesome fanfiction containing Kuja, Kefka and Sephiroth and what they all do in Hell, which conveniently has a bar where they all practically live. It is absolutely hilarious. And it has the best villains who finally get to meet each other.
This little scene is just after Kuja arrives in Hell, and is quickly mistaken for a girl by both Sepiroth and Kefka and is promptly hit upon. Tehe. Joy.
Can you spot the other Final Fantasy Villains in the background? I noticed a bunch of villains are quite similar... Ho hum. I guess SquareEnix has a few favorite villain equations.
P.S. I made Sephiroth kind of short. Oops. I just wanted him to fit on the page! Haha.Kuja Returns! by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:ae82e487-f2a3-0a59-ba3f-53b789c2e33f2006-06-19T16:30:28-07:00Well, he doesn't really return in the game (although I would love him to!), but he does return in my sketchbook! And here he is! Making his first appearance in quite a while! I didn't have any references, and as I've probably made clear from the previous sentences, I haven't drawn him in a while, so his costume may be missing something or I might have added something odd...
But I love him!Edgar Roni Figaro by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:15bace7e-7889-e200-c512-95e7eb76ff462006-06-16T17:03:14-07:00This is Edgar Roni Figaro, King of Figaro Castle, macho mechanic and super flirt.
Okay, I have a story to tell. I was playing Final Fantasy VI for the first time, and I really liked Edgar and so I always had him in my party. Then when he got the chainsaw and I used it for the first time, he took out his little Jason look-alike mask and killed the opponent and I about died.
The regal king who was such a skirt chaser and went around saying "milady" and such used a chain saw and put on a Jason mask. I don't know. I thought it was funny.
It was so funny, I just knew I had to draw him. Especially with the chain saw. King Edgar Roni Figaro in all of his hotness... with the chain saw and mask. I love him so much! I hope you like it! There needs to be more Final Fantasy VI fan art out there.
P.S. I wasn't really sure what his real costume was because Amano had several versions, and then in the game there isn't really a lot of detail in the it, and then the movies don't show beneath his waist really. At least not any that I've seen. Ceres deRehka on Notebook by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:978b2183-c5f0-b832-0bf9-51a25c5d90552006-05-09T13:42:08-07:00Okay, I didn't mean to do more than her face here, but I did, and I like it. And here's her little starting Character Info:
Gender: Female
Race: Occidental Half-elf of Gray descent
Alignment: Lawful Good
Height: 60"
Weight: 110 pounds
Class: Cleric
Spells: Bless (Curse), Heal Light Wounds (Cause Light Wounds), Invisibility to Undead
Haha, Invisibility to Undead. There's actually a funny story behind that one. The undead give her the "heebie-jeebies" or in other words, they freak her out, so no matter where she goes she carries around that spell. :p
I really want to play D&D... someone play with me. *_*
P.S. I'm stupid and got her mixed up with one of my old paladin characters. Ceres is not supposed to have a sword, as Clerics are not allowed to use edged weapons. >_Teen Artemis by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:cbafd4a3-02bd-4b43-b7c6-f8a1b4b5cbfd2006-05-02T18:36:55-07:00Well, I tried to draw a young-ish version of Artemis...

I like drawing older-Arty better. It's easier. I really can't draw young people...

I also just can't get down what I have in my head for him. The Artemis is (obviously) older, about the age he is when my fanfiction, Artemis Fowl and the New World War takes place.
This isn't supposed to be any particular scene. They're just sketches lined up but I did realize that the places they are all looking are kind of funny. Foaly is sort of looking up at Artemis with this cocky little smirk while Artemis is just glaring in a random direction way over Holly's head and Holly looks thoroughly unimpressed and is looking away from both Foaly and Artemis.
I dunno. I found it amusing. :) I should probably try a canon-aged-Artemis sometime...
Anyway, I hope you like it!Holly on the Hunt by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:8e2a46d0-0f87-a18e-eac4-99e74396932d2006-05-01T18:36:29-07:00This is yet another drawing of Captain Holly Short from Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl novels. I changed her outfit a bit from my original drawings.

I'm trying a new style here too. It's less anime, and different than the other styles that I practiced on Artemis. It's more of an... American Comic type... thing... I really messed up her eyes in the inking stage because this drawing was done on printer paper because I ran out of sketchbooks. *cries* The pen I used was not cooperating and I messed up her eyes, which had previously been rather pretty in my sketch. *sigh* oh well.

This was done on printer paper *cries* with a number 2 pencil, a zeb-roller pen, and copic sketch markers.

Yet another rather old drawing. Okay, a year old. But Yea... I'm getting back on an Artemis Fowl kick and want to upload my old stuff.Artemis Fowl Collage by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:b9b005ea-87e6-a1fa-cdb3-5dd7dd0b661b2006-05-01T18:34:03-07:00This is a collage of a few of my sketches of Artemis Fowl II from Eoin Colfer's novel series Artemis Fowl. Each sketch is of him at a different age. The one in the bottom right corner is when he's ten, then the one in the bottom left he's thirteen, in the top right he's seventeen and the top right he's twenty one.
This also incorporates my fanfiction Artemis in which he is an Science Commander for the Irish Military. Different, I know, unbelievable? Maybe, but let's just say it's one of those WWIII ideas and the world really needs good scientists and inventors.
Okie-doke, this was done with pencil and merged with photoshop, yay.
This is also a really old set of sketches. Okay, by really old I mean like a year or two. But I just thought I would get around to putting it up here.Foaly ~ Preliminary Character Sketches by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:b91c5825-4fb9-9b6a-4840-5340b207ac442006-04-30T19:35:28-07:00Well, I've actually had a few informal requests to do Foaly, and I never really got around to it. Until now!

I've never tried to draw a centaur... It was a new and exciting experiene for me. XD I had a few problems though. For one: how do you draw a tin-foil hat? HAHA. My friend told me it looked like he had a bunch of cheetos on his head. :\ Then, me, being the weird creature that I am, decided, hey, wouldn't it be funny if he carried around his computer and notes and junk in a sort of saddle bag thing? So that's what the weird belt-ish thing is on the sketch of him standing up.

The drawing of him sitting down, I think, kind of looks like Root actually... I tried to make him pouting, but just ended up making him look angry, and the carrot kind of looks like one of Root's cigars... hehe. Oh well. Live an' learn, right?

What is happening here is that Drizzt was supposed to be sacraficed directly to Lloth through one of her Handmaidens. But when the Handmaiden tried to consume and dissolve Drizzt, his flesh melted away, but his skeleton remained and, in the blink of an eye, the Handmaiden died. The oozing glob that was the Handmaiden is taken into Drizzt's being and his flesh reforms totally flawless. Black and violet armor wraps around his shoulders, forearms, groin and legs seamlessly.
And Drizzt Do'Urden is reborn as Nalfrynafein Baenre, the Horrible Weapon of the Executioner Blessed by the Fell Powers (long? Yes. Does Triel care? Yes. That's why it's so long). Since Drizzt, or Nalfrynafein now, is the Son of the Spider Queen, he is considered a blessing to Menzoberranzan, and who better to have such a blessing than the First House? Triel takes him into the Baenre House as Patron and names him Prince of all Menzoberranzan.
Crazyyy.
This drawing is so weird. I can't believe I drew it. I'm so mean.
Not to mention it's kind of hard to make something like that huge blob look see through. Also, I'm pretty sure Handmaidens of Lloth are not see through, but for I took some creative lisence. :pJeggred by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:cb10c0b9-2fbe-2288-9137-6b0886aa22442006-04-26T19:39:23-07:00Here's my first attempt at drawing Jeggred, Triel's Draegloth son. I actually really like him. Well, what I've read of him; I'm only on the second book of The War of the Spider Queen. :)
It's really kind of weird to try and attach an extra pair of arms. And make a canine face... I dunno. What do you think? I hope you don't hate it.
P.S. Does he even wear any clothes? It never says! :oTriel Baenre by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:e299b4fc-da60-51a8-e342-de293a464c012006-04-20T12:39:50-07:00Here's my first concept sketch of Triel Baenre, Matron Mother of the First House of Menzoberranzan. I haven't read the War of the Spider Queen novels, so I really have very little clue as to what Triel looks like. I heard somewhere she was relatively short and stocky with a wide face. Ehhhh, I dunno.

So, I based her outfit on her mother's, because I was looking at the comics and realized only matron mothers wore black and wore full on skirts. Triel's mother (when she was alive) wore an armor skirt much like this one. I dunno. I thought it was interesting.

I might color this sometime soon, as I really do not want to study, and have Forgotten Realms on my mind anyway.

I hope you like. If you have any info about Triel's looks or costume, please enlighten me! Thank you!Jarlaxle *hearts* you (animated) by Ceres_de_Rehkaurn:uuid:f41ff277-62fa-0826-1a36-34f1a47134252006-04-18T19:53:39-07:00Madness. Sheer madness, inspired by my friend. Funny story. We were talking about Artemis, actually and how he needed some love. Then we were discussing Jarlaxle's orientation. And then we went on to talk about how Jarlaxle just loved everybody.

And here's the result. Totally drawn on the computer in photoshop via my wonderful tablet.

Yes, well, this was vaguely inspired by the Hunter's Blades Trilogy, which actually inspired a train of thought in my head with resulted in an idea for a story which this is a little illustration thingi of. Here's the prologe:

There is a reason no one has been able to defeat Drizzt Do’Urden.
There is a reason why he escaped even the greatest house in all of Menzoberranzan.
There is a reason why he is the only known Drow to survive for years at a time in the Underdark with no one but a panther for a companion.
There is a reason his father was sacrificed in his stead.
And there is a reason Drizzt Do’Urden is different from all other Drow.

It is not because of his father; a direct consequence of this reason.
It is not because he was brought up any differently than any other Drow Second Boy, because he was not.
It is not because he worships Mielikki, a goddess so different from the one he was raised beneath; another direct consequence of this reason.
It is not because he has a conscience, unlike all other Drow; yet another consequence of this reason.
And it is not because he is watched over by Mielikki, because he is not.

It is because he is in Lloth’s Highest Favor. And there is nothing that can change that.

Weird? Yes. Does it entertain me and allow me to procrastinate doing my homework further? Yes.

XD
