God I found this so angsty when I did this! Poor Marv! This is the kind of trama that can drive a kid to blow up the planet that spawns such bullies! I was inspired to do this after seeing "War of the Weirds" when all the baby Looney Tunes were being jerks and being mean to Marvin. I also noticed that baby Daffy (on more than one occasion)loved to play the role of Duck Dodgers. I figured that if Marvin had decided to stay with the others permanently, an incident like this would eventually happen, with Daffy playing Duck Dodgers (see the ship and space-age water gun?) trying to rid Earth of the Martian menace. But since Marvin was an extremely quiet and sensitive boy (he hadn't developed his psychotic streak yet), I don't think he would have appreciated always having to play bad guy. But since Daffy is always determined to get what he wants, I'm sure he would have figured a way to force Marvin to get involved in his little dramas.
On a technical note, this was once again used with my sketch, scan, and Paint Shop technique. I had colored it in before on the computer, but I thought it looked too bright and flat, so I toned down the colors and added more shadows. Daffy's ground shadow proved the most bothersome since it always manageed to look like Daffy was standing in a blob than casting a shadow. I think Marvin looks the best, though I think his left hand is a bit off(I wanted it to look closer, but now I think it just looks bigger. Oh well)
Anyways, hope you like it. For those of you who weep with me for Marvin's plight, I'll work on one that gives Daffy is comeupins. |
