Starscream, as most people know, has an indestructable spark, and he is pretty much pure evil, to say the least. However, he wasn't always like that. A vestige of good remained in him, developing a very weird split personality. Eventually, the decision was made to "extract" this good section. A body was built, and Jackal was born. Jackal is, by all intents and purposes, a Decepticon and Starscream's little sister. However, she did not share the views of those that built and bore her. It was because of this that late one night, Jackal decided to go AWOL. She was stopped before she could even remotely begin to contemplate her escape, however... and nearly ripped apart, piece-by-piece.
In the end, she escaped... to the Autobots, interestingly enough. While she was rescued, she was treated as a POW for a time. Slowly, however, she convinced them of her intentions. She defected, although her former faction is obvious... her optics are blood red behind that visor. As an Autobot, Jackal was far happier... she found herself fitting in better than she expected, despite an obvious feeling of apprehension towards her for a very long time. |
