Here is another page from the children's book I'm writing. It is not fully colored in but I wanted to put it here to show the steps i take to finish a piece. I use pencil to do the sketch, then I go over the lines with india ink or a very fine black pen. Then I color it in with the media of choice; in this case I used colored pencils that can be blended and smudged. The mom is a self portrait when I was expecting Fae's little sister. I'll post some more pics from the book soon. Hope you like!

I love the expressions on the characters in the window...Ilike how each character is looking in a different direction

Gorgeous. I love this one...the lines are so perfect and so is the coloring. I could never get that effect with colored pencils.
