Part of an assignment for my Lit & Comp class, done in about six hours over the span of two weeks. It's actually two full-sized pages, but for certain reasons, I'm only showing one section of it here.
This was done in response to a short story in Ray Bradbury's "The Martian Chronicles". In The Third Expedition, men arrive on Mars to find the entire population dead, burned from the inside out... by chicken pox. Yeah, everyone's read the book. Well, I figued I'd do a comic about the martians who actually caught the plague. But you really didn't need to know that, as you can only see one little biddy section. Oh well.
I really hated how the pages came out (hense the cropping), but I liked the way Yerth and his friend look here, and the flame bird in the background. Majar did a little "mental posing" for that pic. Heh. Anyway, this is my favorite part of the comic, so here it is. |
