Meet Cyane. No, she's not a character of mine. She's a character from the books "De Macht van Zwaard" / "The Might of the Sword" by Anne West.
A great fantasy-storie about Cyane (this girl), a girl of nobility. Her destiny is to defeat the evil wizard Tronador and to free the Kingdom of Light.
And Cyane accepts it and goes on a journey with the wizard Meroboth, her ladycompanion Gondolin, her friend Tiron, the mercenary Sirus and the dwarf Giffor (sounds a bit Lord of the Rings, isn't it?)
First they had to get the Sword, a mighty weapon that only Cyane must handle and than the must going to look for the three crystals. The crystal of Earth, the crystal of Water and the crystal of Fire. Merboboth and his brothers do have these crystals. Meroboth carries the crystal of Earth and know they only had to find his other brothers, before Tronador does it.
Cyane is a really strong girl. Stubborn, beautiful, a bit naive, curious and does not really like to kill. She has a crush on her friend, Tiron, but she isn´t sure if Tiron also likes her.
(But there is a really big hug of those two in the first book ;-P)
It´s a really good storie. There are four books of them and I read already the first and second. The third and the fourth has to come jet. |
