No, he didn't. He got the scar when Nuka died. Zira claimed that it was his fault and that he had killed his own brother. Not intentionally. I suppose it depends on the viewpoint. But anyways, Zira gets mad and lashes at him, one claw going over his eye when he winces. Creating that scar. That's why when he looks into a puddle of water, the reflection changes to Scar and he freaks out. It's difficult to explain, but it's very symbolic.

Just thinking, did he have a scar when he was a cub? Because why was he named Kovu if he didnt?
Probably did, considering I hate TLK 2 anyway and never watch it.
