This is the 3rd piece I have done in paint, with the first 2 being of Auron from Final Fantasy 10. In the first, I did a close up or Auron, and then a half-body shot for the second. This time I wanted to do a female character, and so I chose Zelda.
I also wanted to do something that presented a bit more of a challenge in the detail department, which I liked with the design on her dress.
But if there is anything I hate to do, it is the fine details, so this is about as fine-tuned as you'll see out of me.
It was done in Microsoft Paint, with a mouse. And of course, since this was originally .bmp, when I converted it to .jpg, there was some blurring of colors, but the original is all solid.
I really like how the pattern on the dress came out, especially the blending of the blue-ish colors. Again my biggest disappointment is the hands, but they are better than my previous attempts. I guess the one on the left(her right) came out alright. There was originally more detail and designs near the bottom of the dress, but when it was all colored, I thought it looked like crap, so I dumped it.
As for upcoming pictures, I am nearly done with Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4, and am working on one of Rude and Reno from FF7. I hope to do ones for Cloud and Vincent, and have already done a good face for Sephiroth. After that, I am thinking something a bit more dark, either somethings from Diablo 2, Bloodrayne, or Devil May Cry.
Please leave a comment if you liked it, and check out my Aurons if you desire. |
