5 MONTHS! That's how long it took to complete this. It took 2 months to get all the characters right, another 2.5 to draw it all out, figuring the colours and what to include and exclude, and finally 2 weeks to colour it. Phew!
Alice in Wonderland.
--------------------------------
"Young, bored and insecure little lolita of a child, spots a strange rabbit, a clothed one no less, running about with an oversized pocket-watch. Ever the curious one, she follows him. All the way she follows, until they reach the foot of a hill leading up to a temple. He sniffs, and in a sudden dashes off to the woods nearby. She pursues as best as she can, but loses the trail. Wandering out for a while, she spots a rabbit hole. But this is a little too big, so big that a human could enter it when on all fours. But those are rabbit footprints at the mouth, and rabbits wearing victorian smoking jackets are a rare sight indeed! So, she enters the hole...
And the rest is history."
I actually wanted it to be a gothic-themed layout, but since little miss Alice was already a goth-lolita, I decided that the environment would just be a mish-mash of characters. Also, the words on the soldiers' helms are: 'Long live the Queen'
So here it is! This is by far my best work, as it also is the best colouring I've ever done.
done with pencil, pen and colour pencil.
