This piece was inspired by a story I read in Japanese culture and literature (I'm enjoying the class very much). Anyway the story is called "Tiger-Poet" and was written by Nakajima Ton. The story is really about a man who thinks hes a poet (but isnt a very good one at all) and who transforms into a tiger because he has sort of abandoned what it means to be a good human. Its a buddhist story about the human soul. My take is a little different.

My picture is about a weretiger, who is a fairly good poet, and who traveled from China to Japan in order to seek new inspiration for his poetry.

I hope you like it, it makes me happy. (insidentally the character means "tiger" in chinese)

Very nice job on the coloring - the clarity and cleanliness makes it striking, almost. And the background just rocks. I heart that little bit of landscape showing through. :}
