Anyway it is a HE but he is built to look feminine and due to the story he belongs to and his own past and storyline *which is complicated and blah to explain* in a way he has no real gender. One day when I can be bothered i'll explain more XD
*catch up*-done last year
This was a gift for my mums birthday and even though she does my head in sometimes and makes me hate her she's still my mum and she's still done so much for me. I didn't have it finished for sunday though D: Urm I dunno what else to say just that it's Kigan and yes he's sitting on a flower. You can decide what this symbolises or whatnot.
I suppose a flower is a good example of beauty and life. It's planted then blooms and blossoms in all it's beauty before it withers and dies. But they always come back again. And there may be times when the flower is crushed and picked from it's stem but it will continue to stay beautiful for a short time afterwards. It's such a fragile thing much like life itself and like a flower were all beautiful in our own way. I didn't want to put this in anime for some reason.
All done in ballpoint pen :0
Last Bouquet is a song by Gazette its a lovely mellow and pretty song. To sample it and other Gazette songs visit http://www.pscompany.co.jp/gazette/
Gazette is a Japanese rock/indies I should add in case you're some1 who doesn't like J-rock etc.
Character used is my OC Kigan a broken angel doll who is male but he's supposed to look feminine and delicate and beautiful or whatnot.
It doesnt look like a girl......but i have seen PLENTY of guys who don't look like guys. Too many, its sad. Well, all of those video game characters, drawings, and parents are all jealous of this guy, kuz he's AWESOME!!!!
(p.s. i think most mums get on our nerves sometimes, but i'm sure us kids get on their nerves sometimes too, the great thing about moms is that they always love us anyway. don't know what i'd do without my mum.)
DAMMMN O________O THAT IS SOME CRAZY DETAIL! i adoore your skill! *faves* i think this could also symbolize conflict in a way...theres beauty yet theres pain. the pain is illustrated as the posture of the lady. to falling feathers. the beauty is the face and the flower.
I love the strong contrast between the hair and the rest of the image. I also like the crosshatching...this picture is very emotional. I like it. I hope your mother enjoyed receiving it. This reminds me...I have to make my own mom's birthday present. o.O
He looked so feminine to me! I could have sworn until I read the category that he was a "she". : D
I love when people fool me like that. xP
But anyway, I could never do anything remotely similar to that with only a ballpoint. O:
