His name is Zohari. He's a god that usually stays in tiger form, infact, nobody knows what his human for looks like, not even Kami, the boy he raised from infancy. Kami knows he can become human, but he's never pried about what Zohar looks like.
He (and Kami) are part of an original story about a boy, a god, and a girl (Kami and Zohari and Sumaya) That travel and hunt gods poisoned by sin. All gods take the form of animals typically (usually powerful ones like tigers and elephants). The other main character, Sumaya is a princess who ran away from home to escape an unwanted arranged marriage and ended up following along with Kami and Zohari . The story takes place mainly in ancient India, but also in other parts of so. Asia.
Now, About our tiger god, Zohari...
All gods SHOULD have the ability to change into a human at will, but poor Zohari was trapped in his tiger body by a powerful deamon. So~ Kami and him travel in hopes of finding the monster who did it, kill him, and set Zohari free so he can once again go to heaven. (oh yeah, you can only get into heaven if you are a god in your human form.) And Zohari hopes that by having Kami clense the world of deamons he will be made a god and thus be able to go to heaven with Zohari. Zohari loves Kami dearly (IN love????? o__O Who knows...) and would do anything for him, and he also cares about Sumaya a lot as well.

p.s. the text means fierce tiger or something to that effect, even though Zohari is typically gentle.
