Me and the closet monster. I have absolutely ridiculous phobias, including a massive fear of mental hospitals, shower curtains, and open closet doors.
So I was in North Conway with my best buddy Jess in her family's time share cabin. I've been there a bunch of time and we both know it really well. We were in the redone basement and we were watching tv. She was sitting in a chair and I was on the couch. On the other side of the room there is a storage closet that nobody in here family really goes in much. The closet door happened to be open just ever so slightly. Me, being the weirdo I am had to point it out. Neither of us knew how it got opened but my reaction was. "Hi, could you shut the door? Thanks." And I said it like I was truly speaking with someone. Well, Jess couldn't see the door so she suddenly gave me the most panic-stricken look I have ever seen. Obviously there wasn't anyone actually there, but her face was hilarious. Because, sure, my first reaction would be, "Hey, hi, yea you with the bloody knife, could you shut the closet door? Its freakin' me out." Well, it had to be drawn. Thus, this was born at like midnight with a mechanical pencil, a Zebra pen, and my retarded brain. The closet monster looks a bit like the ones in the movie "They". pppttthhhbbbty-movie, bad ending, creepy closets.
(The sad part of this being that this is what I would probably do.)
