October 16, 2006 - Seifer-sama

The Haku and Zabuza Tribute!!!! The picture is now finished and posted! Hooray!!! It's about bloody time. I have been working on this for a couple of months now. (Actually I started it a year ago and then redrew it.... Ahem) Anyway...

I really wanted to take my time with this one, focusing on making the forest look as real as possible (I know it still looks cartoony... but that's my style. :P) I also really wanted to make Haku and Zabuza actually look fairly close to their anime selves... (I used a couple manga pictures as references to make sure I had their expressions right. ^ ^)

I think my idea on this was that they were sitting peacefully together right before they died... calm before the storm. Then while working on it though, I thought it would also work as an after death scene too. They made it to heaven together and are happy. *sniffles* Okay enough of that. ^ ^

Favorite part: Hm... the color of Haku's shirt. I think it came out really nice... Considering the fact that I had to mix my dark greens and all of my aqua colors to get it that color. I hope it's close to being right. ^^;

Most difficult part: That would have to be the shadows... I have never done something like that before and it was a real challenge... However, now that I have given it a shot I might like to try it again... Maybe it will turn out even better.

honestly i like the style, hate the anime. it stinks, the story isnt bad, its just terribly anoying to watch 2 year old children ramble on about how cool gara is. and everyone else agrees with them........no not me.

i say, NAY for the time of naruto will end soon, as with all trendy animes.... whats the next one?

it has yet for thoust to be seen'ith.

did you here about the kid the died trying to bury himself in sand? he was trying to be a fictional cartoon character

Well, ageshero, NARUTO is a hit anime series and manga series here and in japan, if you don't like it then Shut up about it. This is a wonderfully drawn picture of Haku and Zabuza. It was so sad when they died.

*comes to* Oh, wow, this is a terrific gallery. Girl, you are awesome. I've got very little to say because this is done so well. Excellent use of perspective - the shafts of light draw the eye back further into the picture, and in the foreground of course they guide your eye straight to the subjects of the picture... I love the peaceful forest scene that seems to contrast to the busy activity going on in the foreground; the girl looks worried or preoccupied and the fellow looks like he is concentrating on an important task Just wondered if the two highest-up shafts of light should have stopped at the figure or if they should have continued: it looks to me like they are too far into the foreground to be hit by those, and perhaps they could be continuing in the background. Other than that tiny detail, it's terrific: *faves*

This is gorgeous. I love Zabuza's expression.. to me it kinda looks like a mixture between sadness and peace of mind. Great combination. I'm not really a fan of Haku, but he is drawn very nicely too. The aqua color shirt is very pretty. And of course, all the SHADING in the whole is brilliant! It really looks like you spent a lot of time on this picture. Certainly worth the wait I must say...
This inspires me to do a Zabuza tribute or something.

seifer-sama, i lurve you!!! XD this pic is beautiful! it's soooo, REAL! haku's so cute sitting down on a stump! zabuza looks awesome! i've always wanted hair like haku's XD buuut that's just a dream :P poor me, lol. oh, wow i'm almost writing an auto-biography as a coment...i'd better stop now, anyhoo FAVE ARTIST! & PIC (can't forget the pic!) oh, (sorry have to say more u.u") how can you use crayons to make the drawing so unbelievable i mean when i use crayons it looks sooooo...uuuh...well the opposite of your pic! (whatever XD) i mean seeing the light reflect so gracefully onto zabuza's sword (thingy, lol) makes you feel like you're there in the forest (well forgotten forest as your title says) well to sum all this up...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! kay!!

Awesome! I love it! I think that Haku and Zabuza are a cute couple...if of course...well, you get it ^^ I haven't seen any episodes with these characters, and my friend had the Naruto game...I kept calling Haku a "she"...it was funny when my friend got mad at me...^^ Anyway...I like the background...amazing (I need to expand my vocabulary...)
