Because I can't decide whether to like Okami or Twilight Princess the more . . . I just had to combine them.
"Okami Twilight", otherwise known as the wolfen Link drawn in an Okami-inspired style. Gray wolf with green tufts and markings is pretty distinctive, eh? Plus the Master Sword, of course.
Media: Inverted colored pencil, some Micron pens, minor GIMP cleanups
Time: About six hours
Size: 9x12", full-views at 75px/in

i am just one of the many that skim through pictures and don't leave very many comments. but this one definitely caught my eye. i was noticing a pattern of amazingness when you use your colored pencils!!! i use colored pencils too. maybe you could give me some pointers. but i draw like anime people and not animals. animals are my weakest point in drawing. so i don't know, stop by my profile and help me out if you can!
My gosh! Everything is so clean! The shadow and sword angle look natural...but mostly the smoothness is gorgeous. I'm quite fond of the eyes too. It's great to have talented artists drawing Zelda Fanart. It makes me smile. ^_^
AWESOME!AWESOME!,AWESOME! This is really cool i love how you mixed ammy with wolf link! Can you please tell me any good sites or books that can teach me to draw wolves(realist or anime)? i know i already ask that.
Gotta say this is probably my favorite of your work. The way you colored the sword saves it from looking very flat. I love that. And of course, the Okami-wolf-Link is a pretty sweet design.
It's really good. Well drawn and colored, only one thing. The teeth stand out a little TOO much. You might want to try dulling the fangs down a bit. {Weird to say I know.} But otherwise it;s amazing!
As always, this picture has been a favorite of mine, and I'll just say that his teeth seem a too light too me, but aside from that you nailed this perfectly.
Anyways, the reason I'm commenting is because its upside down, is that just an april fools day joke or is it a glitch?
Flipping it upside down was an April Fool's joke. Should be back to normal by now.
As for his teeth, they stand out so much because I inked them. Maybe next time I won't.
This is really well done! when I first saw the pic i thought it was colored with photoshop or something, but when I saw again, i found out they were color pencils! this looks so clean and so well done! the shading is amazing. It makes it look 3D. The only thing I think (which is only my opinion it already looks great) would make it look better is maybe shading the white of the eye!
anyway great job! favs!
The white of the eyes was done in black pen (remember, all colors are inverted), so there's not much I could have done about that. It does give the eyes a sort of 'glowing' effect....
Um...this is a wolf. Are you sure this is from Zelda? It doesn't ring a bell for me. I think your confused. Good picture though. Green is one of my favorite colors.
Because wolf Link actually IS green and gray. It's just a muted, dark grayish-green (one shade darker than Link's green tunic) which the Twilight Realm's yellowish lighting makes look black.
this really stands out, i like the detail on his teeth, superbly accurate as well as the master sword but i must point out that wolf link has a chain attached to his left front leg, other than that it is a superb picture -faves-
Wow. Thats good. What kind of colored pencils do you use? The colors are nice and bold, kinda like chalk on a blackboard. You did a great job in the Mastersword.
