My Dragons are mostly inspired by the art from the Anne McCaffrey covers from The Dragon Riders of Pern, especially how their wings join to their bodies... Around the period of time I was drawing this particular dragon, I was influenced by some Asian paintings I had seen of dragons, which depicted their faces looking more like a dog's. This picture is from about a decade ago... If you have ever seen a swimming reptile, they hug their legs against their bodies like this one does as he swims through the air.
0mg.....when I was like in 7th......umm....umm....that pokemon....lol....UGH!! what was its name?.....Dragonair...yea...thats it...I looked it up...lol...it looks just like it...just w/o the wings....awesome stuff...
Thank you Rolla! You were a good contenda in the last contest we were in together... You got skillz. I am working on one more entry... I was inspired by the really nice textures that everyone did on their dragons' scales, so my new entry won't be all smooth scales like my old one. And it's sort of posing... I really like the ones you entered! You did Young Peacock Dragon and Twin Dragons right?
Thank you very much ^_^ Can't wait to see your new entry. I know it's gonna be awesome. Yeah, Twin Dragons and Peacock Dragon are my entry. I may do one more (an Eastern Dragon maybe), but I'm not entirly sure...
Well, thank you very much! I do like happy dragons... I'm sure they wouldn't want to get caught having fun, but I'm sure they do when we aren't watching! LOL
Awesome! You're way better at drawing dragons than me. I'm entering the dragon contest, too, but am having real trouble in coming up with an entry- second attempt at the moment. Love the shading, especially *adds to fave pics list*
I tend to draw dragons in a variety of moods... They must have good moods sometimes! And of course, I am sure certain breeds are more prone to different moods.
