Number 1- They didn't. He made Kai realized friendship is more important than victory.
Number 2- Well: comets sailing over your head and apocalyptic ash falling from mysterious starry skies and sitting on a giant crater floating in the vacum of space slowly awaiting the doom brought to you by lack of oxygen or sailing happy faced comets: Not romantic.
