*Grumbles about not being able to put a preview* ANYONE WHO HAS A PROBLEM WITH OCxCANON CHARACTER PAIRINGS AND HAS JUST COME HERE TO FLAME/WHINE/ETC. MOVE ON BECAUSE I WILL IGNORE YOU. THIS PICTURE IS NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN OVERLY SERIOUSLY. I DREW IT FOR FUN GET OVER IT.
*Cough* Ok, so now I can get on with the real comments since I got that over with. People will hopefully recognize Jak (from Naughtydog's Jak series of games, woot), and some who have been through my gallery may recognize my own character, Tera. Before people start asking me, this has nothing to do with TAE (Through Another's Eyes, my series of rewrites of the games with Tera added in), or Shattered Legacy (an RP community on LJ run by the wonderful Nashidesei.
This picture is completely based off an AIM RP my friend and I just finished. It was a Jak2 RP where, when Jak was captured, Tera and Daxter ran into a girl named Synn Valau, who is my friends J&D OC. Synn wound up completely involved in the story line, being the one to give the two shelter and food during the two years they spend trying to get to Jak.
Synn is also the reason they're able to find and join the underground, but back to the pic. The rp followed the games storyline pretty much completely except for a few things (for one, Dark Jak was overprotective of and liked to cuddle Tera way to much, curtesy of my friend), but then changed slightly right after the 'Escort kid to Kor' mission. Tera gets hurt, Dark Jak goes on a killing spree, the girl ends up being unconscious for a week due to blood loss.
FINALLY, when she wakes up, this whole little scene with Darkie bringing up memories so Jak remembers what happened and things get a bit awkward as poor Jak is completely confused as to how he feels for the girl. Luckily Dax breaks the tension by announcing that Jak's com is going off, and he answers the call. When it's time to go, Jak tells Daxter to get get a zoomer and, once he's gone, does exactly what is picture here; surprises Tera with a kiss.
Here's the snippet from the rp:
*** Jak looked at Daxter, "Get us a zoomer. I've gotta get my gun. I'll be there in a second." The ottsel agreed and padded out the door. The renegade waited until his paws could no longer be heard. Eyes cast down to the floor, he turned to Tera once more, slowly stepping foward.
Tera blinked up at Jak, her head titled to the side curiosly. She didnt say anything; he'd been acting so strangely she wasn't really sure what to say. So, instead, she just gave him a small smile, as though to say 'good luck'.
Jak's heart raced wildly as he kneeled a little to become level with Tera's face. Slowly, one hand reached out, fingers taking her chin gently--like the way Dark had. He looked her dead in the eyes before his own drifted shut and he closed the distance between their lips. ***
Also, this is tribute to valentines this year. Despite the fact that I, y'know, HATE V-day because I myself am a bitter single person (I like joking about that), but the rp really inspired me to try something new and I love how it turned out. So, to all of you who do like the day, Happy Valentines Day.
