This is chapter 3, I believe? It's when Mario and Peach escape form the Warsaw Prison Camp. However, in flight, Peach is shot down, and though her death is inevitable, her path home, back to their world, will be shorter and easier than his. As she lays dying upon the dusty, unforgiving ground, the fugitive lovers share one last kiss before she can pass into the beyond.
...is it just me, or does Mario remind any of you of Rambo? XD God, I love that dude and I don't know why.
And Peach looks... refreshingly different. ^_^
