Copying a screenshot or any other original picture can be a great way of getting to know a characters features. Posting such replicas on the internet is a good way of getting constructive comments to improve your technique, as most fans will realise that these are copies and compare them to the original.

I don't agree whatsoever with trying to replicate someone elses fanart and then entering it into a competition as entirely your own composition. If the composition is not your own, you should at least let people know where they can find the original.

omg! YOu really surpassed yourself! This pic is just amazing!!!!the expression, the pose, the shading, the coloring, the clothes...it's perfect! ...except one detail:according to me, the "contour" (how do we said it in English again?) of his hair shoudn't be marked with such a black pencil...it makes it, too..hum...argh, don't know how to say it! I knw it's stupid, put, yeah, that's what i think. For the background, i see that you already have a kind of pale blue rayons.(or it's the paper?)but a more sophicated background should make this pic even better! (have you ever thought about a dark one?) anyways, you're definitively my favorite artist, and this pic deserves a good applause. (hope i didn't bodered you with this long paragraph, but it's really very good, and faves too! ok, i'll shut...^.^)
