Here's a screencap I made entirely on my own so this isn't a manip. It's Kinashi when he was a genin and maybe about 11 or 12. He was late to practice because he was visiting his father and older brother's graves. Your probably thinking why he has a patch over his right eye. Well if you've seen him now you've noticed he has a scar across his eye. This happened because he got his eye sliced by a kunai a year prior to this pic during a rouge ninja raid. Luckily, he was immediately sent to the hospital where he had his eye replaced. (the doctors were fortunate enough to find an eye that matched his eye color. It wasn't easy though). Hope that clears it up for you. ^^
He's saying " Hey everyone. Sorry I'm late, I was busy this morning." I love writing in Japanese :3
