The shading and lighting is just gorgeous, along with the smearing of black down his face. That's really impressive. I've always found it difficult to make those kind of effects with just a pencil. Did you use a blending tool to make this? Because the shading is just SO well done.

Seriously, I am very impressed by your art skills. You're just so talented that it's amazing! I'll be adding this to my favorites as well, no doubt about it. :-)

By the way, I can defintely relate to you feeling emo. I feel like that quite often...but then again sometimes I'll feel all cheerful. Emotions are strange, aren't they? :-)

I didn't use a blending tool - I just shade in roughly with a (preferably blunt) dark pencil or, if need be, I use a piece of cloth (*cough*shirtsleeve*cough* XD) or just my finger to smooth out/spread the shade.
Emotions are strange indeed. I always find the best way to clear my head is to draw something, so... Yeah. So glad you appreciate the pic :-) xx
