Lately I've found it easier to finish off old art than start off new pieces, so here's another one that's been lying around unfinished for months... until now!

This is Tekno the Canary, a character from the British (Fleetway) version of the Sonic The Hedgehog comic (called Sonic The Comic). I've drawn her already, if you look way back to the first (last?) page of my gallery. She's a bit taller and slimmer this time, you might notice. Also I decided not to draw the black leggings - which is funny because they seem to be in fashion IRL for the first time in a long time! She does have nice legs, so I thought you'd like to see them...

This was drawn very lightly, and as a result didn't scan well, so I've had to do some PSP stuff to it just to get it looking reasonable. I suppose it looks kind of summery this way...

Wooot Tekno!!! Gawd I haven't seen her for so long! I loved the stories with her and Amy (the british version, not the other one that totally annoys me!) lol i used to draw her all the time when i was little *faves* good job ^^

As always i like your style, and i do find this to be kind of summery looking!

I like Techno, and did you know that Archie Sonic The Hedgehog comics added her at some point (I think it was around issue #130 something, but i can't say till I am actually at home to look)

Tekno the Canary has the same hair style (and reminds me) of Francine from Marc Brown's Arthur books and Arthur cartoon series (By the way, number 371, what is taking you so long to work on the Arthur character drawing of Bitzi Baxter and the Arthur character drawing of Sue Ellen?)

Is Tekno the Canary the British SONIC THE COMIC'S answer to the American Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics girls like Sally, Bunnie, Lupe, and Mina?

Sort of. She was introduced mainly as a friend for the british version of Amy Rose (the british version was more of a confident adventurous character that wasn't always chasing Sonic around, compared to the Sega/Archie version that is desperate to get Sonic's attention), so in one comic strip you'd have Sonic/Tails doing something, and elsewhere in the comic Amy and Tekno would have their own story, usually one that's not as serious as the main Sonic story. If you look for the previous drawing of Tekno that I did, I wrote some stuff about what she was like in the description there.
