Yah, that flashback really didn't make any sense. I always thought rowling's relationship backstories were not particularly well thought out ... or feasible for that matter.
And yes, its time to stop drawing snape. ... for the love of god. Do a realistic dilandau or something, like I've said, your realism is great!
Oh yah, and it made TOTALLY no sense WHATSOEVER that snape's petronis was a doe... for the reason that lilly's was - cuz that's retarded, his would be sasquach or some other large hairy mean thing. OR at lest something greasy.
Anyway, good pic, now start using your drawing skills for evil, I demand it. :D
