With gentle eyes he spoke to her in a soft voice. "You're the only one that's ever shed a tear of sympanthy for me. Why?" She moved her foot in light circles against the ground, and she rubbed the side of her arm. "I want you to be free from the scars of your past. Its not fair for you to fight this battle alone! I...I don't want to see you suffer anymore." She lowered her head to the ground, and tried to fight back tears that desperately wanted to fall. His expression softened, as he tenderly rested his hand against the side of her face. "As long as you're by my side... I'll be fine." She looked up at him with tearful eyes, and opened her mouth to speak. Before she could utter a sound he leaned into her face, and kissed her. His mouth brushed lightly against her parted lips, his hand lightly caressing her cheek. She hesitantly curled her arm around his neck, and pulled herself closer to him. He moved his lips away from hers, and stared into her eyes with his own. "I love you, Videl."
