Secret Santa present for my friend Anna, which is why this one is obviously a bit more worked on than the others. Kyo from Dir en grey. Looking a bit less spastic than normal. Compare this to the Kyo I drew for her last year and this is both ON TIME (last one was 4 months late...) and much better in skill, I think. I actually REALLY like how this turned out after all the crap that happened throughout it.

When I am back from my relatives I shall be putting a step-by-step process up here. I can't do a tutorial, but I think I could do this...it'll at least show how much I do NOT know what I am doing. >_>;;;

Listened to Dir en grey's new single Dozing Green for about the ENTIRE time I drew/colored this. Listening to it now, in fact...

jeeeeez how do you freaking do that? i mean...its freaking MARKER 0_o and yet you seem to get every line right i would die! "erm...is there an eraser anywhere?" *explodes*

The thing about markers is that you can always cover them up with colored pencils if it ends up horrible. But yeah, it takes some getting used to. XD And takes a loooong time if you're like me (ie: obsessive compulsive about coloring). @_@

Yeah, I had some random lines from Dozing Green on it ("My slashed heart dances, and I question in vain; LOVE ME") , but I scanned this before I decided to add them.

The more I use my Copics the more I come to despise them. They always end up looking nice, yes, but THE ROAD THERE...D: I die everytime, dangit. XD

And goooddddd the torso...@_@ I need to learn how to draw abs one of these days. That was SO faked. XD

Oh man, that's gorgeous~ *_____* Those markers seem to work brilliantly for you, dear. I love the yellow and the red shades here~ the shadows around his eyes and in his hair and the sharpness of the tendons of his hands~ awesome! This one is absolutely beautiful. :)

Also, haha, 4 months late... XD Sounds like me...

@_@ I'm normally so horrible with gifts, but I tried reeaaaaaaaally hard to be on time this year for once. XD

And for some reason I've always REALLY loved tendons that poke out like that, so I tried it out and it worked for me this time. I was slightly shocked, actually. XD

I lurrrve my markers so. D: They're the closest I can align painting to drawing, I guess....that and I love color sooo much. <333

I've tended to avoid yellow skin tones, but I think I actually really like how it ends up...hm.
