So, this is very random. ^^; The idea came to me while I was waiting to go after finishing my English final, so I jotted it down in my assignment notebook and drew this later. ^^; I guess it''s kinda supposed to show the extreme differences in their outlooks on life, but I have no idea. ''Twas random. <3
Anyways, I dislike how the ink shading/crosshatching came out, but it''s a new thing that I''ve never tried before. Didn''t really expect it to turn out all that well. ^^; I have several pens, so I just played around with them to do this. Lael doesn''t look his best, and I misspelled hypocrisy . . . XDDDD I''m such a dork. ^^; Anyways.

The sketchiness is okay, but with pens, I think that smooth, parallel lines work better... it's really tough to get it down, but the only solution is practice...
There are different ways to shade lineart. You can do it crosshatching, yeah, but that's often tough on Anime. More like the "golgatha" pic of mine, with the single-direction lines, all parallel, of varying close-ness... (gives the impression of different darknesses) that would work better, I think.
Still though, find your way! Your art is lovely regardless, and it's awesome for you to be trying out new things. :) This is beautiful. ♥
