Darkness suddenly washed over him. He didn't know where he was, or what had happened. He didn't remember anything, he was trapped inside his own mind. Struggling for freedom that could never be reached, guilt and regret ran through him like icy water. Sitting in the dark, all alone, minutes passed...or had it been days? Weeks rolled by, then months, possibly years. Then, out of the darkness a light shone. A girl with brunette hair emerged from a tunnel. What was this? He thought. Suddenly he felt his legs moving unconsciously toward the girl, unaware of what he was to do next. She didn't seem to see him, but he could feel her warmth running through his blood as he crept closer. He bent to his knees and let out a wail of frustration. Abruptly she turned away, unaware of the boy or his rage. Then she was gone.
