Title: Partners in Danger

The Story:

A typical day in Satan City takes a sudden twist as a couple of bank robberies on opposite sides of town catch our heroes by surprise. Eventually we find Sayiaman bound to a tree by Poison Ivy, looking to make his first kiss(?) his last, while Harley Quinn makes faces to everyone. On the other side of town, Sayiagirl has her hands full with Killer Frost, who has frozen both of her hands together, and Giganta looking to take her out from behind. How will they get out of this mess?

My Take:
When you’re in somewhat of a funk as I was, it always helps to go back and start over with things, people, or characters you like. This time, I wanted to try something with a little more difficulty than usual.

As for the actual drawing, I wanted to put our heroes in some difficult situations, so it took a while for me to come up with villains to cause problems for Saiyaman especially. Poison Ivy was the first to come to mind, since she can poison him with a kiss, or put him under her control. I had to have Harley there too, just because...and no it ain't your parents' Giganta on the other side.

What I Like Most:
Trees have never been one of my stronger points, but this tree didn’t come out half bad, actually pretty good if I do say so myself. For the most part, I like how the characters came out as well. I had to make quite a few adjustments with them, but it didn’t affect them too badly.

What I Dislike Most:
It’s been a while since I’ve done any buildings, it looks like I need to go back to the drawing board with them. I wrestled between having outlines and not having them. Eventually the ‘no outline’ decision won the coin toss. As for the other side, the big tree didn’t come out too badly, though I could have thrown a few more leaves around.

Final Thoughts:
I always enjoy doing crossovers like this, because it puts characters in a bunch of new situations. I don't have a bunch of original ideas to throw out there, so always I've felt that things like this are the next best thing.

For those of you that are new to my drawings, I use a different style than you are used to. This style is most noticeable when I do DragonBall characters. I have nothing against the original style, but I’m not going to try to be someone that I’m not. I want to have a style of my own.
