that's a request from Xiakeyra. she asked me to draw this character, Blaxeon, riding a horse. that was my "vision" of it. the horse is somewhat andalusian-type, and will be dappled-grey coloured, probably. see her gallery for more dettail about this character.

hey! that's my first sketch for your pic. the lineart is pretty simple, and i haven't got into many dettail about blaxeon, yet. just make sure you like the pose and the horse design. those plates on the horse shoulders and croup are supposed to be pieces of mettal armor, but i'm considering changing them into leather, maybe, dunno... i was planning to make the horse with long mane (like a proper andalusian), but since it's a war-horse, i thought that a long mane would have to be braided, and that would look even worse than a short one, IMO... anyway, if there's anything you wanna change, just tell me! ;)

time taken: 30 min for hand-sketch, 2 hours for digitalized first sketch, 2 hours for more dettailed sketch.
medium: original sketch with pencil, everything else with photoshop elements and tablet.

I love the horse and its armour. I think the horse's armour should be golden to match Blaxeon gold details and weapon.
The horse looks perfect for me, as well as Blaxeon's clothes. Great job.
