Thanks! Yes, it was made for racing on ovals. It was one of the first cars designed using wind tunnel. What is funny, the street version had a roadrunner logo (you know, this cartoon chracter, chased by Coyote) and a characteristic "MEEP! MEEP!" horn.
Really? Well, maybe because it's also Roadrunner, but don't you know that the car was named after the cartoon character or the company just looked for a neat name?
The cartoon had already existed when the car was made, so that's why i ask it.
I don't know if it was named after the character. In my opinion it wasn't - roadrunner is the name of a bird (a kind of wild hen, like the cartoon one.) I think the name just sounded good for a sports car.
