Aaand here's my second, text-heavy attempt! I regret nothing though. XD I wanted every word in those bubbles.
And since you're online readers, you get some explanation that other people don't! In the first comic, I was more or less drawing my boyfriend and myself. Namely because, well, it was a real conversation between us and it was a good start to the comic. However, I realized I didn't want to draw Robert's beard all the time, and also one of David's (another comic guy, my editor actually) re-occurring characters has a long ponytail! So, to avoid both of these problems, I simply took Robert's beard off and put his hair down. XD
Which is how I decided to make Robert "The Rocker." It's an old joke (that I was just let in on a few years ago - it goes back a few years before that, I believe...) between Robert and Daniel and some other people about a High School Super-Hero team called the "Student Friends" who don't have any real powers until they graduate, but nonetheless try to keep corruption out of the school system via really loud speakers, flying ruler-rangs, etc. "The Cartoonist" was my addition to this little team, but I just call her Toon, because I am lazy. (Notice a trend? XD)
And, um, Super Cat-Cat Happy Hour? Well, come on. It's just as good a name as Tokyo Mew Mew or any of that. XD Really though, I was just nipping that little presumption in the bud. A lot of people look at my art and say, "Ohhh, so you draw anime," and despite the fact that I know that for it to be anime it needs to be animated, I am not an otaku. :p Not because there is anything wrong with them, per se, but I'm really not big into the anime or manga scene. I just started drawing back in the big Pokemon / Digimon phase and never grew out of it, I guess.
I don't know why I write so much in these things! XD I don't think anybody who cares is still here...
